The area
Neighbourhood: Barrio Gòtico (Barri Gòtic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are lots of lovely things on this street, one of which was a large number of chocolate shops.
The children were spoiled with chocolate milkshake and chocolate churros (sneakily it gave them the calorie hit they needed to keep walking, 7.5 miles this day!) If you want a sweet treat make it here. We went to Granja La Pallaresa and it was good!

Carrer Petritxol is a narrow street! It's one of the narrowest streets we have walked on! Despite its lack of ... depth ..., however, it is full of shops! Shops of all types, some small, some quite small, and some rather large. There are plenty of cafes and the like, too. It is a tourist street, really, but it's worth going there!

Carrer Petritxol is a really nice street located in the Gothic Quarter ( Barri Gótic ) .
The street is very much like many of the old town streets you will find in this part of town ,it's lined with cafes and restaurants and all manner of shopping outlets, it's a street most definitely aimed at the tourist market.
This street brings you into the heart of the historic old town of Barcelona with it's many plaza's and outstandingly beautiful architecture.
A lovely street and well worth checking out.

The street is definitely a tourist trap. The most expensive drink I bought in Spain was on this street. But even though it is a tourist trap, the chocolate sold on this street is incredible. Some of the best chocolate I have ever had in my life.

This narrow street has two of the legendary places in Barcelona, Granja La Pallaresa and Granja Dulcinea where you can try the chocolate with cream so typical of Barcelona snacks. The street also has good stores with a fairly good variety of offerings. Of them, I would highlight the Christmas store for its exoticism here in Spain and the curious decorations it sells.

Small street with all of the Gothic quarter.
In shipping to the church with the same name.
There are lots of photos and good coffee in the region.
It is worth it
