I prefer art from the 1800s onwards and there is little in the collection from this time. What there is, however is good. The rest tends to be art and sculptures from churches various. There is a nice lounge with coffee machine which is nice...More

People tend to forget that, in spite of the Civil War, Catalonia kept its medieval and renaissance works of art almost intact. This museum was a surprise for me. I had never seen so many marvelous medieval representations of Mary and Jesus. All of them...More

Thanks, Ligia, for your opinion. We are glad that you enjoyed your visit. We are working on the translation of contents into English and French, it is already done in the Baroque collection. We hope that you will visit us again.
Went here today, it was free entry. Normally you can buy a combined ticket. Normal cost is only €4 so not a big price to pay. Packed with interesting pieces over 3 floors. Not busy , plenty of space to admire the art freely.

Just near to the amazing Cathedral this museum transports you back in time. Filled with Medieval statues of stone and wood, vivid paintings of how a Saint reached Sainthood and many other beautiful artifacts, this museum is a must visit.
