Good history lesson

We went to the museum first, to get a better understanding of the history associated with the place. It was perfect, not too big or long, just enough.

We visited the Museum as part of a tour with Barcelona Day Tours. We are very glad that we opted to visit the museum during our free time there. Excellent collection of artists, and especially of Catalan artists. Very spacious and well organized. Definitely one of our highest rated museum experiences in Europe.

Something to behold. So many ancient and valuable treasures. You could spend a day in the museum and not want to leave.

It's hard to define unique places because rarely is they're any comparison for them unless you've travelled a lot. This is one of those places. The museum houses and incredible and ancient collection. Make sure you include it in your Montserrat trip. Enjoy!

We enjoyed walking through the museum and seeing all the paintings and artifacts from past. Just imagine seeing a work of art painted back in 200 AD and before. Seeing a Picasso and other artists. Amazing.

I joined an early access tour with Viator and it was great! No crowd, great coming weather, lots of time to see the church and all

Definitely a stop out of Barcelona, Spain. This is an amazing site for it's location and architecture.

I was surprised, not too many places is there a Picasso, Renoir, Degas and Monet all hanging in the same room. The Cassas stole the show however. It was small enough that you did not feel overwhelmed and there are a few surprises like the Egyptian mummy. Don't hesitate to visit if you want to get out of the heat... More

Don't miss this. Not expensive and a great collection of artwork from paintings, to statues, to photos, to sketches and artifacts. Take your time, take lots of pictures.

I was in two minds whether to visit this museum or not and was very glad I did in the and. A great collection of modernist art, including important catalonia painters who are less well known outside the area but whose works I enjoyed. Includes a small collection of sculpture, and a few works by important artists, monet, Picasso, dali,... More
