Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I drove up to the park but the option is the bubble elevator for 3 euros. I knew nothing about it before visiting and the history of the site was interesting in it's own right. The Observatory was open with no charge. Very nicely set out and so many photo opportunities. I spent the morning around the Tower of Hercules and the afternoon here, which made it a great day.

Very beautiful place. We went there by taxi and the taxi driver was very happy that we chose this destination and said it is the best viewing point, better than Tower of Hercules. The views are really breathtaking. The grass is all green and you can walk around a lot, through ups and downs. There is a restaurant up there too. There were also beautiful colorful flowers. It is a must when you are in Coruna!

This park is seen high on a hill from all around La Coruna and definitely from the Tower of Hercules so we decided to find our way up there. We took our car and followed the occasional sign to finally arrived at the top and parked. It wasn't a straight forward drive there but worth the effort. I was surprised to see the amazing views and then very surprised to see the huge guns and fortifications neatly laid out.
Everywhere you look are beautfully manicured lawns and paths winding throughout the park. As we visited in late December, it was quite empty with the glass elevator going up and down the cliff closed but in the summer, it must be even better. There is a playground for the kids plus a huge maze for them to explore.
My kids really enjoyed climbing around the guns and reading the plaques describing the history there. We also took some side paths that wound around the hillside and investigated the bunkers therein.
Definitely worth a stop if you are in A Coruna.

We caught a number 3 bus from the marina to Monte de San Pedro.
This gave a great tour of A Coruna as it travelled around the peninsula past the Tower of Hercules and Riazor beach en route.
You get off just before the bus gets to it's terminus, then need to climb the hill. The journey cost just 1.30 euros each.
At the top is a park with an observatory, several naval guns and fabulous views of bother the city and the coastline.
We had a drink and taps in the cafe, which has brilliant panoramic views of the city and estuary.

We got the local bus to here (number 6, e1.30 each way) Well worth a visit, stunning views across La Coruna and the Atlantic. The gardens and ground are immaculately kept. There is a cafeteria, restaurant t the top although you could take a picnic lunch as there are plenty of places to sit. Get the glass dome back down.

This is a great spot to spend an afternoon if you are visiting La Coruña. There is no admission to the park and you can walk for some time and enjoy a great view of the city.
There is an panoramic elevator that takes you up there (or down) for 3 Euros every 30 minutes. At XX:00 and XX:30 goes up, and at XX:15 and XX:45 goes down; check your arrival time because if not you'll be (like me) waiting 25 minutes for it to come down.
If you are traveling with kids, this is a great spot since they can play in the grass while you are relaxing. There is also a labyrinth where they can play for a while.
You can see some cannons and military structures that were built in the 30's, and although the cannons never were used in battle, is pretty impressive to see them.
I suggest you go up and go down using the elevator, I went down walking from the entrance of the park and its a long way down, is better to spend 3 more Euros than to lose 30 minutes of your time walking down.

A part of a labyrinth and kids playground, which is a pretty nice activity to do with the children, The “Monte de San Pedro” has a nice lookout with 360degrees and you can see the “Ria de A Coruña” which is free access.
You can arrive over there via bike, walking, car, bus (very near bus stop) or taking the panoramic elevator which connect from “Paseo Marítimo” to the top. Once there you have a coffee shop to enjoy a coffee watching the A Coruña’s life from the top, well... also a very fancy restaurant. Ahhh ..almost forgot a good wind to play with the pipes, this is not only for kids. :)

We took the bubble shaped elevator to the top (3.50 € each). We stopped at the cafeteria side of the restaurant because we seem to always be hungry upon arrival to our outings. The food was ok but the service and view was fabulous. We then hoped to go get lost on the labyrinth but were disappointed to find it closed for repairs. Luckily there was more to explore including a playground for my daughter. The rest of the space is a large green space and gardens around an observatory from which you can get a stunning view of La Coruña and a history lesson about its famous light house located across the bay. The park also houses two or three enormous cannons that provided protection of the coast during WWII. It is likely always windy at this park. On the warm day we went that was a welcome thing, but on anything other than sunny and hot, bring a windbreaker.

This hill offers quite a lot of nice things - there is a park with nice walking paths, some artillery stuff on the top, a nice little restaurant and a funicular that seems like a spaceship :) The view is breathtaking.

Amazing views of A Coruna up on this park. Interesting with tanks and shells in the park. Lots of green areas to sit and take in the views of the sea and city. Got the number 6/6A from Hercules Tower to below the park. The walk is a tough climb so be prepared. Worth it though when you get there. Nice cafe/restaurant up there too. lovely maze for kids to get lost in too. Worth a visit.

When the guns were installed and what is the reason to install them?
Can I get information about their story and history?

Is this attraction wheelchair friendly.
Written 3 May 2017
Once in the car park, all the area is wheelchair friendly. Some paths, specially at the entrance, are somehow steep but not a big problem at all. I don't remember the access to the restaurant; perhaps there is a little trouble. You should definitely go. The place and the views are amazing!
