Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited Domus on our "Erasmus+" mobility and it was totally worth it. A great place for interactive activities - to touch, smell, hear, try, and examine. Lots of interesting and useful information, kind staff. We wish we could have had more time to stay there.

It's a must see science museum if you are visiting A Coruna. There are many activities to keep you going through out the visit. The only downside is that the writings are in Spanish / Galician so you have to have a Spanish speaker with you to translate the descriptions, it would have been perfect if they had a translation in English too but apart from this it was a great visit and highly recommended.

This museum is very entertaining and very informational. There are many interactive exhibits that teach you so many things about the human body, and these are very entertaining. I enjoyed seeing the family of man exhibit, where you can have your photo taken surrounded by man's monkey relatives. This teaches us about evolution.
Another interesting exhibit is one where you pick items that you eat every day. Then the machine tells you how many calories you eat each day. We usually find out that we are eating too much and the wrong types of food.
Another machine tells you how tall you are without touching you. Still another tells you what your blood pressure is. Everything so entertaining!

I had no idea of what to expect here apart from what I'd read in guide books but I was really pleasantly surprised. I, along with my (very!) adult friends arrived just as the place was opening up on a Sunday in September and virtually had the place to ourselves for the first hour. We absolutely loved it - had a great time trying all of the things which link into science but are great fun. I think kids would love this but big kids like us also did. It helps if you understand Spanish as most of the intructions for the interactive parts are only in Spanish but most people would be able to make intelligent guesses as to what you have to to do. We spent a really great hour and a half here. Loved it.

We decided to visit this museum from our cruise ship having already done the Hercules Tower & aquarium on previous trips. It was in a large concrete building-we felt the building looked a bit 1960s so were not sure what we would find inside..However we were pleasantly surprised. There was plenty to keep my 8 & 14 year old occupied, educated & interested.Visit time approx 2 hours. We took a taxi there & walked about 25mins back into town. Would recommend a visit if you have children.

Most of the descriptions were avaiable in Spanish only. I would recommend it rather for children than adults. Many exhibits were not working.
But it is definetly worth it's price and view is great!

The Domus certainly looks impressive from the outside, the curvature of the building gives the impression of a boat shaped building when viewed from below, although it isn't. The local slate used in the construction is beautiful. Inside are interractive displays covering aspects of the human body, nutrition, thought, mind, recognition, evolution. Some knowledge of Spanish is essential as translations are not always provided, and not all exhibits are operational. Access to the 2nd floor is obtained by passing through a representation of a heart, and there is the constant noise of a heartbeat, which can get a little irritating after a while. Nevertheless, the entrance is only 2 Euros, so well worth the cost.
