An impressive remainder of the ancient Roman Empire still alive

It is an ancient Roman lighthouse refurbished at medioevo, mantains the original structure inside. The view of the Bay incredible.

First lighthouse of the humanity. The story and culture behind this historical piece is really interesting. You enter the lighthouse through the old Roman structure. The tower is really high to climb, but the view worths every penny.

One piece of the Roman Empire right there. It is the symbol of La Coruña, and a must have if you visit the city. If the day is calm you can go upstairs and see the city. There is a big park in the surrounding area that is very mellow and nice.

The best thing to do is to rent a bike and ride all the way from the coast to the Tower of Hercules. For me it's definitely the most beautiful view of the town. Great for picnics too!

We walked from the cruise ship to the tower and back. Excellent day out. Stopped off at La Gran Antilla cafe on the way back.

A great deal, only 3 EUR each. A long climb up the stairs, but wonderful views. If you don't want to climb, the views are still great from outside, and there are some nice walks around the headland.

Its a long walk from the car park up to the tower but well worth a visit. Some great views. It was a cold day when we were there but would be lovely on a warm sunny day.
