    Aggressive Monkeys
The cable car is easy. Get tickets in advance. Everywhere is signs to not feed the monkeys and to just leave them be. However, when you get to the top every single taxi driver is feeding and bothering the monkeys. And it makes sense for them because they need the money and the tourism. But the monkeys are aggressive and the park rangers don’t give a crap. And these monkeys grab at your clothes and your pants and it’s scary for children. And it’s upsetting because the monkeys don’t know who is a taxi driver and who is going to give them food. I would not recommend with tiny children.

    Top of the Rock
Cable car to Top of the Rock is a must do activity. One can come down walking + exploring. Hopefully, the day you decide to take cable car is a bright n sunny day.

    Expensive
This was a great attraction to ride up as a single and walk down. But be aware there is now only a return fare of £18, and towalk down you must buy a £16 nature reserve ticket so potentialy £36. To be fair there is a small reduction for a joint ticket. On top of this some of the main attractions wereclosed for refurb. Is a stunning view from the top, but i feel very overpriced.

Up to the Rock we go!
Took the cable car from the town to the top of the Rock, about 4-5 mins to get up there. Views are absolutely amazing! The cable car is staffed (adds to the feeling of safety!!) and you arrive at the very top. The cafe is right in front of you - views over the Straits of Gibraltar and mainland Spain are all around. Fantastic! Viewing platform outside the cafe is great, from here (with the right ticket) you can begin your decent back down the Rock (approx 2-2.5 hours walking) via the many attractions (St Michael's Cave, viewing platforms, tunnels etc) and of course the macaques (Gibraltar Rock monkeys). Highly recommended!

    Great experience
Great experience. Not too overcrowded. Didn’t use the return ticket because we would have had to walk back up after seeing all the other sights. Bought the nature reserve ticket too which allows you into the rest of the experiences on the rock, well worth the extra money.

    Great views
Goes very high, so maybe not for the faint-hearted, though it saves a long uphill walk. Quite expensive. Very few options, eg if you want to include or exclude a particular attraction. Indeed, a single costs nearly as much as a return! Fantastic views and great photo opportunities.

    Lovely ride to the top
Great way to get to the top and see stunning views. Cost £19 return for an adult and there was lots of different areas at the top to see the apes without having to pay to go into the nature reserve. Cable car staff were fantastic and there a signs for people not to feed the apes so respect the rules!. Best time to go is in the morning when they've just been fed and there aren't so many people. Lots of opportunities to get close to them but please can people stop shoving their phones Infront of the apes faces, these are beautiful animals that need to be respected as we had no problems with them. Lovely cafe at the top to relax and enjoy the views.

Nice view at the top, monkeys spoil the experience
We rode a bus for 2 hours to make this trip. While the town is nice and the cable car ride was fun, it wasn’t a Wow experience. And the monkeys crawling all over the place, peeing on stair railings and staircases just spoiled the experience.

Beautiful for a day trip, not much to do for longer than that
The view from the top of the rock is amazing, and we absolutely loved the monkeys. We explored the top of the rock a bit, but we didn’t think it was worth it to pay for the nature reserve. There isn’t that much to do other than admire the view and watch the monkeys, both on the rock and in Gibraltar as a whole, so I’d recommend doing the cable car in Gibraltar if you’re already close to the area (e.g., in Seville, Spain or other cities even closer), but I wouldn’t recommend more than a quick day trip here.

Easy way to the top of the rock!
We did our research and knew that there would be two cruise ships in, ours and a larger princess ship. We jumped on the bus and headed to the cable car station arriving around 10:15 and headed to the entrance where the split for prepaid fast track and pay on the day was and got in the prepaid queue. We brought our tickets on our mobile whilst in the queue it was fairly quick and very easy to pick up the wrist bands from the prepaid counter. 1 person from the group collected the tickets whilst the others stayed in the queue for the cable car. It took us under an hour from joining the queue to getting to the top. The queue shuffled along slowly but didn't feel too long as we spent it getting to know others around us. Cable car itself was great and got us to the top in around 10 mins with fantastic views on the way up and at the top. We walked back down covering all of the sights. It was well worth the wait!

Very interesting place. It was a cable car ride worth taking and we enjoyed strolling around at the summit. We enjoyed meeting the monkeys; thought it was rather pricey to enter the nature reserve; and the staff at Top of the Rock cafe were more or less non-existent!! Didn’t stop us have a great time though!

Nice experience! We did it on a sunny day so it was fantastic! A bit expensive but what is not expensive in Gibraltar?

Ridiculous waiting time for this amount of money. We had pre-paid tickets, the line was relatively short and we still stood there waiting for more than one hour. Not recommend, there are alternative ways to get to the top.

Minimum two hours wait in the queue just to get up there. It's on the 1st of November 2023. If you do it, do it in the morning.

Even though we were on an organised tour we still had to wait for 45 minutes in the heat with no shade waiting for the cable car,as they are so small,And when you do get to go inside you are packed in so tight you cannot see the view outside at all.The owners need to update these cars and make them much larger for the amount of tourists that use them

trip to the top was fine but once up there the cafe bar was very tired and expensive. The worst part though was the “map” they gjve you. we paid extra to see the skyview tunnels etc but there were NO signs at all telling you where anything was! the map was hopeless and gave no idea of heights or distance . I would recommend getting the cable car up and walking down

Old and dirty. Probably way too small during high season. Fantastic view on top! Be very careful with the map they give you. Misleading in terms of distance and altitude!! Total lack of signalisation for the top trails.

The cable car was efficient and fast. However I would recommend just ride cable car for the view and experience at the Top of The Rock. Do not buy Nature preserve pass unless you are very fit and have a lot of time. Take a taxi tour where they drive from stop to stop. But do ride cable car at least once. Maybe do taxi trip and then ride cable car up to top. There is not much difference in price.

As a local I am so ashamed that this is what tourists have to see. I had not been for a few years and took my friends who had come over from the USA. Well what do you get for £20. Well the top station was covered in Ape faeces. The place is in an awful state of disrepair. The owners MH Bland are only interested in getting the £. Maintenance and upkeep is clearly not been spent. I was so embarrassed taking my friends up and I am ashamed to be Gibraltarian when this is what tourists have to confront. The views are amazing but my friends saw the same things from the car the following day.
