We caught the bus to Sandy Bay and then walked back to Catalan Bay, where we stopped for lunch by the beach. It's a totally different vibe to the rest of Gibraltar - we enjoyed it. Then caught the bus back.

It is a short bus ride from the City Centre. Access down some steps from the bus stop. Alternatively there is a car park if you drive. Also has a bar and cafe offering refreshments.

We walked here from Ocean Village. It took about 40 mins but was enjoyable and interesting to see another side of Gibraltar. The beach was deserted and so relaxing.Gentle waves and perfect sand for children.Well worth a visit

Its not crowded at all. This is not a typical beach, but you can spend ages sitting along the rocks and watching the tides. It's so calm and peacful. The water is quite cold though.

This sandy beach is sheltered in a westerly wind and gets the sun until about 5pm from March. There are toilets across the road and several cafes which are open during the peak season. There is also a big car park next door and a...More
