The Rock of Gibraltar

My husband, daughter and I took a mini van your of the sites on the Rock of Gibraltar- opting for a guided tour rather than the cable car and a long walk. We were so happy that we opted for the minivan as the roads were very, narrow and steep. We visited the Cave of St Michael-which was really amazing. We stopped at an observation point where we saw the continent of Europe on one side and Africa on the other. And of course the monkeys!!! Our tour guide was Kevin, who presented the information in both English and Spanish. We highly recommend this tour operator. You can find him on- line or just outside the cable car entrance!

Great Tour

We had a lovely guide who was very informative! It was a fascinating tour that we learnt a lot from. We didn’t feel rushed. There was plenty of time to enjoy the gorgeous scenery and the tour was reasonably priced! It was definitely better than waiting in line for 1.5 hrs for the cable car!

Superb Rock Tour

My wife and I arrived on the Celebrity Costellation ship in Weds 25 Sept 2019 - we had no trip booked for the day - so were about to take a bus at the port to the Rock cable car. - when Steve approached us and recommended his 2 1/2 hour Rock tour - instead of a likley 1 to 2 hour queue for the cable car!!
His tour was brillant ! 6 people in a reasonalbe mini bus - E35 each which also included tickets to tour inside the amazing St Michael's caves , stops at various scenic views - watching the monkeys - and Steve's knowlegable history and information about Gibraltar.
The tour ended in the town's shopping area - so very easy to have a walk around for some souveniers and a nice lunch - then stroll to the shuttle busses back to the ship.
If you only have a short time in Gibraltar , this is the perfect way to see the Rock.

Great tour and service

Our driver, Steve, was very helpful and knowledgeable, and happy to answer all of our stupid questions. My mother needed extra assistance as her mobility is not very good. Steve was very patient and helpful in main site she could see a much as possible. We all had a thoroughly good time in the tour and would definitely recommend this company.

Great Tour

Took the tour around the Rock with Steve Hollins as guide. He is knowledgeable, outgoing, considerate ans gave a great tour for the 5 of us. Even dealt with the monkeys. Good value, especially as compared to the cable cars.

We have a group of eight and I booked an extensive tour in June. As I know ahead that we would have a driver only. The law here does not allow a driver to be a guide the same time. To my surprise, the driver is on time, well mannered and knowledgeable. His English is good. As we like photography, the driver cleaned all windows for us while waiting for us to return to the car. Air conditioning is well maintained during the hot summer trip. He was also flexible and allowed us to spend the time we want at each attractions. We couldn't ask for more.

Felt more like a taxi than a tour service

Our group of 16 was taken by 2 vans to the sites. We were met on-time at our cruise ship and were dropped off at each of the advertised sites. One driver gave us some basic information along the way while the other driver would barely answer a question. The sites don't have any guides at them to get additional information. While parking was difficult at some sites, our tour guides just stayed with the vans at all sites. We went to one site that wasn't open yet, then had to backtrack to see it at the end. More of a taxi service than to tour operator that is passionate about sharing their knowledge and history of the area.

First impression seemed like a lot of money--but well worth it

Steve provided us with a terrific tour. I am as cheap as they come and thought that $250 pounds was a bit steep but with all the positive reviews, (and due to the fact that we do not expect to be in Gibraltar again) we took the plunge. We are very glad we did. Steve did a great job of touring us around the rock. We didn't have a phone but communicated via email which were always answered positively and promptly. We were very pleased with everyhting.
