Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Jordan was our driver and he knew a lot about Gibraltar. Showed us interesting places as we were driven around in a comfortable minivan. The cable car looks cheaper but if you want to see the whole rock you have to pay extra so it is better to go with Official Rock Tours as everything is included. I definitely recommend them (don’t be put off if they initially come off as a bit pushy). And remember, if you take this tour, ask for Jordan.

Paul and his wife accepted us with open arms and honestly gave my group one of the best tours we’ve ever had. Paul grew up in Gibralter, knows everything, and very proud. I loved listening to all the history and Gibralter facts and he made me feel like a close friend while dong it. Well worth the money. If you get Paul as your tour guide consider yourself very lucky!!

We had a very informative tour with Mario. We took the standard tour which took us to see the monkeys, St Michael's cave, the Skywalk and Europa point. The views up there are amazing and although it was quite expensive it was worth paying for a private tour. We didn't feel rushed and Mario was very friendly and knowledgeable.

We recently went on the rock tour of Gibraltar with Mark and we had a great time. He was extremely accommodating when we ran onto traffic problems and had to delay our tour. We had 3 children under 8 yrs old and he was very patient and gave us great recommendations on how much time we needed at each stop and how to avoid getting into any trouble with the monkeys. He provided a lot of information on the history of Gibraltar while we went from place to place and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend going with him if you want a guided tour of Gibraltars highlights without spending the entire day on a bus.

Thanks Mark, I look forward to next time!

We visited today with our tour guide Peter. We are a family of 5 with 3 children. I thought it seemed like a great way to see the highlights as we really didn’t have the time to hike the entire Nature Preserve. We weren’t expecting so much time was needed to walk from the cable car. This was a pricey tour for a family of 5. But we were looking forward to the highlights. To be fair, the St Michael’s Cave and Skywalk were quite enjoyable. But we were so disappointed to not even have a one-minute stop at the feeding area for the monkeys! So like most people visiting the Nature Preserve, we were expecting a stop to see the monkeys on the tour. But no, there wasn’t one. Our guide Peter failed to mention where or when we could stop to see the monkeys. And then we were at the last stop at the Great Siege Tunnels, and it would have taken 30 minutes to get a ride back to the feeding area. So if you want to have a stop to see the monkeys on this tour and want to avoid complete disappointment like we faced today, be sure to ask the guide in advance where and when it is included to ensure you get a stop to see the monkeys. Because if you don’t have the time, inclination, or mobility to walk on your own from the cable car for hours, this tour is your only option as we discovered.

He was very kind and flexible. The tour was interesting and really gave us a good insight into the history and the latest developments of the city. He was always ready to answer to our questions so there’s definitely enough room to bespeak the focus of the tour on one’s own interests.
Definitely recommend!

We were in casemates square at the top of main st & they are located here. There is a big sign for them to “book here”. Basically, there is a man in charge that lines you up with the next taxi/tour guide in line (like a taxi line up at the airport). We got Neil & it was 76e for just the 2 of us including the entrance to the tunnels & caves. It was the “bronze tour” that was 1.5hr, but I think lasted a bit longer actually😊Neil was very nice & allowed us (free) bathroom stops along the way. He also offered us options on where to drop us off at the end of the tour👍we started the tour~3:40pm & it was enough time. We had about 20min at the caves & the tunnels. Highly recommend-can’t imagine how we could have seen all this in our limited time! It took a lot of time to get there, find parking, passport, ETC(takes longer than u plan for)

There are signs everywhere that tells us it is strictly forbidden to feed or touch the apes. Still, these guides both feed them and touch them - giving the apes "high five" and so on.
Disappointing to see, since we thought the apes were treated with respect, and that part of the guide's work should be to inform naive, unknowing tourists about the importance of respect for "wild" (as wild as you prefer to call these...) animals.

Awesome minibus tour of Gibraltar rock
Review of Gibraltar Rock Private Tours
Pending review
We would love to thank our tour guide Dylan Baglietto on his tour. He drove up the rock of Gibraltar in his minibus giving us the history of the rock and lots of information regarding the British peninsula. We were able to stop at various points for views and visit the caves. Then on up to view the monkey feeding station where he knew each monkey individually thus knowing which ones to avoid. We would not have had the opportunity to have the so called stereotyped naughty monkeys sit on our heads like this without the tour guide knowing his stuff. We had an amazing time and would like to thank Dylan and his team to convince us towards this tour rather than the cable car which i and the children were not keen on and worked out cheaper and without all the working in 40° heat.

Thank you so much
Mark, Louise, Amy and Kieran.
