Visited this bodega after a nice walk in the local park. The wine is very smooth but not very bold or interesting. I had much better wines in the area but it doesn't hurt to sample a few locally.

Nice place to visit, mostly because you can go by walking. Wines are not the best in the zone, but the tour is pleasant and the place in itself is nice and cosy.

My husband and I went on a tour of Bodegas Franco Espanoles in August, we had a make tour guide who was engaging and funny. Really nice winery we learned how to properly hold a wine glass and that the wine was confiscated for soldiers during the war. We had a tasting at the end of the tour which was... More

Advance communication with the winery was excellent, in its friendliness and professionalism (unlike the Marques de Murrieta who ignored our booking request) and we were placed on an English tour. The experience was informative and entertaining and it was great to explore a smaller, family run Bodega (in contrast to the impressive industrial scale of the nearby Campo Viejo). What... More

The winery was convenient and within walking distance from our hotel. We arrived with little prior arrangement and were able to have an English speaking guide. The facility is old and charming. The guide was knowledgeable and quite attentive. The tasting was well done.

We arrived just by chance while having a walk by river Ebro. We joined the morning tour just minutes after it started. This winery has an interest in story, backed by photos and artifacts. The winery technical director is an art fan and has mixed the wine making with paintings and sculptures. The tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. Wine... More

Our wine guide, Diego, had perfect English and gave us so much information on the wonderful history of this great winery! It was an extensive and impressive history all the way back to the French Bordeaux region. The wine tasting was very generous and the wines were delicous. A very short walk from the old town which made it very... More

My friend and I arrived in Logroño for a 2night/1 day stay and had run out of time to book any winery tours in advance. After discovering Franco Espanolas was within walking distance of our hotel we called to see if they could fit us in for a tour. Unfortunately the only tour available on the day we visited (Wed)... We were very impressed with the friendly staff at Franco Espanolos. We went on a Monday and they offered two English tours, one in the morning (around 10am, I believe) and one at 5pm. The winery itself is directly on the other side of the iron bridge in Logrono -- walking distance from the main part of town. Our tour... More
