Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The main part of the park. There was a quite a big queue to rent a rowing boat so we didn't do it, but it did look like fun. You can get some great shots around the lake, with plenty of sculptures etc.
It gets busier in the middle of the day. There are plenty of places to buy drinks, ice cream and snacks, as well as people in mascot / fancy dress costumes for the kids.

Employee Carlos was at the door and very ill-mannered, engaged in other people's conversations. We couldn't get on because it rained (it only fell a few drops every now and then) and he said they had to clean all the boats, while he was sitting idly talking to the ticket lady, and walked around talking to the phone. My wife asks him the price and answers him in “the poster puts it”. We came from far away to see this famous park and its boats, and we leave with a very unpleasant experience. You should talk to the staff.

As for me, I think it is the most prominent and important tourist spot in Parque del Retiro. Estanque is home to an immense amount of fish, turtles and crabs and the ducklings delight in it. The monuments and space that surround it also give it an air of grandeur and grandeur. Go and take a...several photos.

We are going to separate the beautiful and grandiose Retiro with its fabulous trees, some of its gardens such as Vivaces, the Rosaleda, etc. and another thing is the Retiro Grande Pond and I am going to tell our experience, once the tickets were reserved at our time we were at the entrance , we coincided with a large group of schoolchildren (they were going to the Barco Solar) two access doors and a tall man at the door without uniform or identification, shouting like a man possessed in bad form and without any type of education (neither to the children nor to the families that were in the lines, at no time was there control of who had a reservation or who did not have TOTAL lack of control and the person at the door (later we saw that it was he who drove the Barco del Sol) continued with his bad ways, the ride in The boats were very wonderful, having a very pleasant and fun time. Both when leaving and arriving with the boat, at the dock two people with a type of spear help you get on or off, well a lady (blonde hair color) Lazy and not at all empathetic, she treats you as if you were a cow that enters the slaughterhouse. Good the pond and the boats and the treatment received by those two people BAD (I didn't ask for the complaints book so as not to spoil the fabulous afternoon we spent in retirement to my family)

A quiet and peaceful little getaway. The price is attractive and the time allotted is sufficient (you have to row 😅). The setting is magnificent. Allows a break from the hustle and bustle of the Spanish capital.
A moment of romanticism full of charm accompanied by the number of ducks strolling on the waters.

Beautiful man-made lake in Retiro Park. Being there the end of October, there were only a few boats out on the water. Peaceful.

This pond (and the monument next to it) is what makes the Retiro park so beautiful.
During the hot season you can see kayak rowers in the pond and during the colder months, water birds enjoy a tranquil swim there.

Came for the row boat ride here, which was very nice. The park is large and this is a large green space to enjoy in Madrid. You can walk around, ride a bicycle, run, picnic, play, or just hang out and enjoy the space. It's important to have a park for the people of Madrid to relax in and escape the urban hustle and bustle of the capital of Spain. Would highly recommend a visit here to escape Madrid!

When I was younger, I missed out on the pond boats and always wished to come back to Madrid one day to row out on one. I finally did that this past week and had a wonderful experience! The boats close at different times depending on the time of year (5:15 pm is the earliest), so we made sure to get there with plenty of time. We got to be out on the pond for an hour and thoroughly enjoyed people-watching and listening to a band on the outskirts of pond. Whether you come here for the boats, a picnic, or just to stroll around and see the architecture, it's a great place to be!

¿Cómo está organizado el alquiler de las barcas? ¿Dónde hay que dirigirse para ello? ¿Tienen muchas demanda y, si es así, a qué hora hay que acudir para evitar colas y poder acceder a una barca? Gracias.
