We hired this firm to do a tour of El Botin restaurant in Madrid (the oldest operating restaurant in the world). We met Erin (our tour guide) in front of the restaurant, one hour before it opened, and she did such a fantastic job. She...More

My husband and I did the Botin experience for lunch and we cannot recommend this company enough!!! The experience is first class, and the food is just fantastic.

Of course the food is good, the wine is great, the building is old and famous...but none of that has meaning until Phil gives it to you! Amazing. You show up an hour before the restaurant opens, slide past all the grammers shooting their #posts...More
We had a fantastic tour guide,Phil, who was very knowledgeable on not only the restaurant, but also the entire city. He was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. I would recommend requesting Phil for any tour that is booked through this company!

As someone who loves to cook, I would 100% recommend visiting The Botin Tour and Lunch/Dinner with Meg! Meg is an awesome tour guide and made the experience worth while. Yes it's a tourist attraction but super unique and a must do when in Madrid!
I would definitely contact David from Insiders Madrid! I hired David for a 4 hour walking tour that took me on a tour of the history of Spain and the local tapas spots. Also we made some stops to have some wine on a few... More

Dear Givara888, thank you for your question! The historic centre is compact enough for you to see enough in one morning. We would suggest a walk through the old centre, combining the main sights with a step behind closed doors to meet people and places that are also part of Madrid; a centenary sweet shop, one of the world's best known luthiers for the Spanish classical and flamenco guitar, the world's only Spanish cape shop are examples! While I talk about our own guiding service in Madrid, I am sure you will find some more answers of who to contact in the activities section of tours on TA. Best regards, Joanna
