Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked this for a family of 8. Meg handled the booking and the tour. it was well worth the money and one of the highlights from our trip to Madrid. The amount of history in the restaurant was fascinating and the meal was delicious from start to finish. Meg was a great tour guide. Funny, personable and with so much knowledge to share about the restaurant, and the city itself! Highly recommend! Bonus if she's your guide!

Botin Experience in Madrid was fantastic. The guide, Phil, was excellent with great local knowledge and the restaurant itself put on a great menu and wle felt the whole experience was great for the price too.

We had eaten at Botin several times before ever doing this tour. But we were bringing friends who had never eaten there, so we figured why not. The tour was fantastic! We wish we would have taken it sooner. We are bringing more people back to do the tour this fall. The tour was not only informative, but you got to see parts of the restaurant you wouldn't normally see and Jorge also made it a ton of fun! When you factor in the amount food and the souvenir, the price really is a great value!

The pre-opening tour was absolutely amazing. The rich history and getting to see the entire building was a special experience, and our tour guide was able to secure us the Hemingway table, which was our favorite memory of our 14 day European tour. Our guide, Keith, was awesome and his knowledge of history made the building come alive. We later found out that Keith is an author and we're excited to read his 2 books! Our server was celebrating his 30 year anniversary, which was pretty special too. The food was great, the building was amazing, and Keith made it a night we'll remember forever.

We enjoyed so much our before lunch Botin Experience. Visiting the oldest restaurant in the world was a highlight of our Madrid visit. The tour given by Brad was complete and enjoyable. History of the restaurant and area around it was most interesting. From the wine cellars to the third floor the building is filled with history. After the tour the included meal was outstanding with excellent service. More than enough wonderful tasting food. We were very happy to have found this wonderful restaurant. Booking the tour was done very easily.

We booked the Botin Experience in Madrid and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The booking experience with Meg was seamless and accommodating and the actual tour with Phil was informative and personalized to our little tour group. What a treat to be able to truly visit and explore the restaurant before opening time. The food was excellent, as was the service. Phil ensure we all were well taken care off, a questions answered and even arranged for a little Boring surprise gift for our 5 year old. I highly recommend this tour and Insider's Travel.

We did the Botin Experience in Madrid with Phil and thoroughly enjoyed both the tour and food. Would highly recommend it.
Meg was super helpful and responsive in setting things up via email and Phil was both knowledgeable and personable- AND was fluent in English -okay - he’s a Brit, but in our experience, not all “English-speaking” tour guides are understandable.
Would definitely recommend.

We have a friend that reccommend "Los Caracoles" restaurant to my husband and me so we took the visit + dinner because this is a very interesting place with a lot of history.
Our guide Michael was such a sweetheart! Very talkative and passionate. Even though he had to use his notes a couple of times, because it was a lot of information, he was very professional, polite, and spontaneous. We clicked immediately and we talked about more than "Los Caracoles". It was very nice.
The place is awesome. It has a charm that cannot be mimicked, but that is the direct result of years and years of experience and work. There are pictures of a lot of celebrities from the past and the present.
The dinner afterwards was excellent, we had, of course, the caracoles and the bouillabaisse soup. You can tell the owners are very careful with maintaining the legacy because they were actually working there. The ambiance is very noisy and festive, like the good old tavern where everybody goes to chat and have a good time with friends. The servers were very friendly and witty... Remarkable!

Our tour of Los Caracoles in Barcelona was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. Our teenage Grandsons loved every minute of our tour with David and the history of the restaurant is fascinating. The staff and the restaurant itself is captivating and has been family owned through generations. The food combined with the tour was great and I can highly recommend this tour.

Buongiorno! Molti grazie per le sua messaggio gentile! We would love to offer you a behind the scenes of Madrid tour with one of our Italian-speaking guides. All our tours are private and the price for a 4 hour tour is 375 euros which includes sales tax. Can we give you a call to tell you more about it? Grazie!

I would definitely contact David from Insiders Madrid! I hired David for a 4 hour walking tour that took me on a tour of the history of Spain and the local tapas spots. Also we made some stops to have some wine on a few rooftops!

Dear Givara888, thank you for your question! The historic centre is compact enough for you to see enough in one morning. We would suggest a walk through the old centre, combining the main sights with a step behind closed doors to meet people and places that are also part of Madrid; a centenary sweet shop, one of the world's best known luthiers for the Spanish classical and flamenco guitar, the world's only Spanish cape shop are examples! While I talk about our own guiding service in Madrid, I am sure you will find some more answers of who to contact in the activities section of tours on TA. Best regards, Joanna

I am a art educator . Which museums would you suggest I visit and what are your rates for a tour in those museums?
