Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The place is quaint, far away from the city center... we just didn't get it. There wasn't a lot going on, the staff was not the friendliest so it was hard to figure out what to do. There were a few exhibits, but for some you had to buy tickets, for others you didn't... lots of empty space.... we just didn't get it!

I went to see the 2 previous virtual exhibitions, of Klimt and Tutankhamun. The one in Pompeii is undoubtedly the worst by far. It is evident that they are saving costs to earn more money, although the entry fee is just as expensive as in other cases. The immersive room is an absolute disappointment, the graphics are very bad and there are hardly any images of current Pompeii. With the possibilities that this exhibition had, it turns out to be something very poor. The sitting part with the virtual reality glasses, also a disappointment. Instead of Pompeii, you are placed in a gladiator show. It does not contribute anything and is not specific to Pompeii. The only salvageable part was the virtual walk through a Pompeian house. There are almost no photos of current Pompeii on the posters, only very old drawings or photos. It's a shame to call this exhibition immersive because you don't feel like you're in Pompeii at any point, just inside a poor quality video game. I don't recommend it for that price.

This could have been a fun experience, however the website provides incorrect hours for the exhibits. According to the website, the exhibit we were interested had morning hours on our day (10:00-13:00). However, when we arrived at the exhibit, the hours are only in the evening (17:00-20:30). It was a waste of our morning as we could have planned something else to do, but no longer had the opportunity as we had an early afternoon train.

I will admit that it was a fabulous reinvention of the historic space.

I was very interested in the interactive exhibition of "The Last Days of Pompeii" and I found it very weak. The metaverse and virtual reality rooms are very simple with few explanations. The mural part with very basic information and everything crowded. Very disappointed by the expectations since I had previously visited the exhibition of "Pompeii. The Last Gladiator" at the naval museum in Barcelona and it was an extraordinary experience unlike the one I have seen in Madrid at the Matadero with the same theme.

We only ended up here because we happened to be staying nearby. If you are in the neighbourhood and are looking for a place to chill for a while, this is pretty cool. There is a restaurant inside and they host shows/ music at night. There’s an open courtyard with some interesting architecture to explore and places to sit and relax away from the busy streets.

“Titanic Immersive Exhibition” Ship 16
Magnificent tour with several rooms. Two ship travelers, Arthur and Elizabeth, tell you the story of this unfortunate voyage. The virtual reality room is pure wonder. The duration of the visit is just over 1h. It can be photographed and recorded. Recommended 100%!!!

I just passed by before went in to Madrid río. I have to say that this is a good example how an old factory can become a part of a city life if you adapted.

I guess I should have googled activities before going. After a very long walk in Madrid Rio, here was absolutely nothing at the Matadero. Nothing to eat, nothing to drink. Nothing.

This prominently located slaughter house has reinvented itself as a wonderfully inspired cultural hub. Its grim origins have been subject to some intelligent architectural interventions which subtly blends new forms onto the original. The result is a focus for exhibitions theatre dance film and fashion together with cultural industry offices. When we visited there was a deeply impressive photo exhibition around immigrants a light show and a national fashion event to be followed by an outdoor rock concert. A real destination to highlight Spanish creative industries
