Nice fountain, beautiful surrounding buildings, good for a photo stop. Good surrounding area, worth visiting as it is on way to other beautiful areas anyway.

With the taxi strikes on the massive roundabout here was heavily policed and more traffic as usual. Still has lots of beautiful buildings that looked great in the sunshine. The bus stops are really confusing for tourists and no one to ask.

Whilst walking through Madrid we came across Plaza de Cibeles by chance. What a fantastic sight! More of a roundabout than an actual plaza, it is not to be missed!

Really not a Plaza but a glorified "roundabout". Lots of traffic, but the fountain in the middle is beautiful. It's hard to miss as it's on a main street. Many protests and celebrations happen around this icon.

The Plaza is incredible and at Christmas the lights are amazing. People and cars everywhere give it such great energy. The best bit? Take the lift to the observation deck of the Cibele Palace and the view will take your breath away..
