Just adding to the "Living Treasure" review. It's not often that you get the chance to see highly skilled artisans at work and be given a clear and lively explanation of the intricacies involved! As you know, weaving a carpet is now mostly mechanized, but...More

Factory is a bit misleading; this is really a workshop where highly trained and skilled artisans make tapestries, rugs and banners by hand. In late July, we attended the English tour at 12:15 p.m. All visits into the workshop are with guides. Our guide was...More

We arranged a tour via email for the English tour. The docent spoke great English and we had no issues understanding her. This is really a trip back in time as you will see how tapestries and rugs are created and repaired. Nothing new or...More

Tours are given in several languages and it's very interesting and unique to watch actual tapestries be designed and wolven. It' a fascinating craftsmanship that's hard to find. All of our group enjoyed the wonderful experience!

This is not per se a museum, the only access is via guided tours lasting about 1 hour. If you prefer to have a tour in English, you'll have to book ahead. My Spanish is pretty good and I had no trouble understanding the docent...More

You have to book in advance for this attraction and be careful to allow time for finding it, but it is worth the effort. I learnt a lot about making carpets and tapestries, but what really amazed me was watching the craftspeople in their painstaking...More
