Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Huge park convenient to three Metro stations. You should definitely have a map of some kind available to you because there are not very many signs. Only one public restroom, this is located in the car park by the lake. (It shows up on Google Maps as “aseo publico.”) The park facilities are a bit run-down, but this doesn’t affect the scenery at all. We didn’t see any litter at all on the trails.

We hiked about 6 miles with the help of the AllTrails app, which shows several routes in the park as well as all the little side trails. Enjoyed great views of the city from the ridge along the eastern side of the park. It was a nice break from the noise and traffic of the city. Enjoyed a good late lunch at the Tabernacle Urugallo by the lake afterwards.

If you only have a short time in Madrid this probably won’t make the list, but if you have some time to spare, this is a nice way to do something different and not at all touristy.

Even at night (9pm), there are plenty of lit paths and people were out and about so I felt safe running in the area well after dark.

Casa De Campo is a great park area not to far from the cathedral and Royal Palace that's a must go destination.
Lots of interesting sites in this park ,lots of nice trails ,a lake area ,very well kept and an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city, all in all a great park to check out if you're planning a holiday to Madrid.

While you can walk to Casa de Campo from the Royal Palace, about 3km each way, to properly walk this park, is around 11-12km extra. We took Metro to/from Lago, and explored the range of trails and ridges. Some wonderful views back to the Palace, nearby mountain range and the wider Madrid area. The lake near start of walk, has a multitude of restaurants, all doing great trade on this fine Saturday. Strongly recommend having a map and signage not that great. Plenty of rest stops throughout but no toilets after carpark where walks commence.

Beautiful & Extensive park, very well maintained. Plenty of paths, benches & view points. Very peaceful, away from the main city centre.
Worth a walk here.

The park is located nearby the cathedral and the Royal Palace, and is a fantastic place to go for a stroll once you get tired of all the architecture and beautiful streets of the city. Full of places to seat and enjoy the nature, a nice place for a break.

A nice park! We took a metro there, there is a station called Casa de Campo. It is very big, there is a lot to see. We liked taking pictures with yellow flowers, we found a viewing point, for this we had to hike a little bit up, you have a nice view of the city from far. Going down was a bit tricky but we were brave. And in the end we even found a nice lake (not for swimming, just for the view) with some ice cream places and restaurants. It was a good day! It is not a must when you are in Madrid as it does not offer any unique photo experience however you can go there!

Truly one of the worst resorts I’ve EVER
experienced. Staff is extremely rude and we were harassed by the staff for laughing and enjoying the company of the other guests. Please don’t ever consider staying here.. it is a nightmare.

This is one of the biggest parks in Spain. It is five times bigger than the Central Park in NYC. Casa de Campo is a historical park from the Renaissance. It used to be the hunting ground for the royal family.
It is a great place to walk, run, or ride a bike.
Inside the park, you can find different entertainments, the zoo, the theme park...
The Filomena storm caused a havoc, many trees were damaged!

Great for picnics, just overcrowded in the weekend so if you like the quiet avoid those days. Absolutely amazing during sunsets and at night.
