Great view

Went to see the sunset and it was great, there was a long line to get in and it costs 4euro. There are lots of seats and a bar to get something to drink, go when weather is good.

WAS SO WORTH THE 4 EURO fee. The views are AMAZING!!!!! The drinks are very good and to top of it off the music set the vibe. Highly recommend making a reservation if you plan on eating. We didn't know this so we could not eat there but we could still drink. Will recommend to all who travel to Madrid.

Great views but the service was slow & staff not friendly. The lift also didn't work so it was a struggle to get up. You can't take the stairs. Eventually we found the service lift! The views are great but there may be more pleasant places to get same view

Fantastic views of Madrid and just a lovely spot especially when the terrace was bathed in sunshine. Get there around 5pm if you want to avoid the queue / get somewhere to sit. Very much worth the €4 entry and drinks are relatively cheap given the location (€10 for a large glass of wine and pint of beer), definitely a... More

Enjoy the most scenic view of the city of Madrid whilst chilling on the terrace on top of the building.

Go in around the side, and then up in the lift to the top, if you are only interested in the view. Restaurant or drinks at the top if you want, or just wander around and enjoy the view.

If you are in Madrid and are a fan of rooftops and the views you get from there then this is your MUST go during your visit. Depending on the season going up to the roof costs a small fee which is totally worth it. You go all the way up with an elevator and come out to a rooftop... More

This is such a great place to go for the view and a drink, especially on a sunny day. There are beds you can lie on and chill out while enjoying the views of the city. We went late morning and it was pretty quiet but I imagine it would get busier as the day goes on. The entrance is... More

The rooftop bar offers some of the best views of Madrid. Arrive before sunset to avoid the crowds, scout out a table and sit back and enjoy the sun show while sipping a gin and tonic. It's certainly worth it to pay a few euros to soak in the atmosphere of the beautiful bar, watch the fashionable people and enjoy... More

Bare in mind you have to cue, FOREVER!!!!! As they have a 1 leave 1 enter policy, but it was worth the 45 minute wait. The views were spectacular especially at night.

Staying in Paseo del Prado

Neighbourhood Profile
Paseo del Prado
The area around the elegant Paseo del Prado boulevard is much-visited by both locals and tourists. The world-famous Prado, the Reina Sofia, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza museums form a triangle of art and culture that spans this grand and beautiful avenue. On weekdays, the Prado Museum opens its doors for free after-work hours, drawing a diverse and excited queue of art lovers that wraps around the block. Palacio de Cibeles and Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural centers are other artsy hangouts to check out, with rooftop bars that provide impressive views of the city. While the Paseo del Prado and its roundabouts form a busy throughway in Madrid, a broad green pedestrian park in the middle is a calm and gorgeous place for a relaxing stroll. Just east of the museums, the Retiro Park is always a confluence of activity as families and friends of all ages take to the pretty paths and lawns to stretch their legs or to have a picnic.
