We walked by it as we made our way through the city on foot. It's very pretty, but there was a lot of traffic. You can get a nice picture if you time it right between vehicles.

This fountain is beautiful but I think the best time to see it is at night. Walk up the street first to Independence Square and see Puerta de Alcala lit up and then back down to see the fountain and cultural center bathed in lights!...More

There is a lot of car traffic using the roundabout in this busy intersection/plaza. So you will likely only see the fountain from distance. It is nice looking.

This is a beautiful fountain, however you can only admire it afar. There is a bus stop right across from this so we took our pictures after getting off of the bus. It is in the center of a traffic circle.

This is an impressive fountain located in the middle of the roundabout in the centre of the plaza Cibeles, well worth a photo stop on any visit to Madrid

The fountain is situated beside a very busy street, it's very beautiful, only that it was surrounded by construction work and therefor we could not really take the best photos

Noble fountain, great public art, grand buildings all around, but also lots of traffic tearing by, so noisy and polluted. Traffic circle.

Only distant glances in the hectic crossing of c/ Alcalá and Paseo de Prato/Recoletos possible as this beautiful fountain sits in the middle of the traffic island.

I passed by late in the evening, strolling around the city. I think the most exciting time of the day to experience Madrid on is late in the evening or, if possible, by night. I'm really tired now because I was spending my time in...More

Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses
