This is a World Heritage site. Fascinating for history lovers. My children found it interesting as the studied about these aqueducts in school. Now they have seen one.

Puente de Segovia, (bridge of Segovia), is the oldest bridge in Madrid dating back to the late 1500’s. It crosses over the Manzanares River and it was a nice walk along the banks, through the parklands around the bridge itself. You can take some nice photo’s with the fountains and the bridge in the background.

It is not a top attraction in Madrid but if you have time and you are fond of bridges, you should go there. The bridge is beautiful and the surroundings , too. Not far from the Royal Palace. You can go there from Sol by bus No 50 and get off at ''Puente de Segovia'' or ''Jahn Duke Segovia'' stop, ask... More

It's just an old bridge. What to expect from an old bridge. The view is nice. A couple of fountains. But again: it's just an old bridge.

We discovered the bridge on our walk along the Madrid Rio Parkland, on this day there was a major flood (burst mains pipe) on the bridge, the streets of Madrid were chaos, but not for... More

This is a beautiful historic bridge in a beautiful relaxing part of Madrid. In fact you can walk either side of the river and find lots of things to see and enjoy.

Segovia is a cool place for a day trip from Madrid city. Being at an altitude its quite cooler then Madrid city. The archetecture and the castle especially are very interesting indeed.

We took the bus from Pio Principo bus station -- I think it was about 13 euros roundtrip. Easy walk from the bus to town and the gorgeous tower -- we climbed all 152 steps. Had a great lunch. Just so beautiful!!
