It is located in Madrid's Rio Park and looks a bit like a Roman aqueduct. I think he's about 500 years old. If you pass by here you will see it, I don't think it requires a special visit.

We spent a very enjoyable Saturday morning walking the Manzanares River starting at the Puenta del Rey after emerging from the nearby Principe Pio Metro station and followed its course past this bridge, then the Puente de Toledo before finishing at the Puente de Argonzuela. Whereas the others are footbridges the Puente de Segovia is a road bridge
And although it may lack the interest of the Puente de Toledo and the Puente de Argonzuela, its still worth stopping a while to walk across this one.
Firstly, it’s quite a historic bridge, being the oldest one still standing in Madrid with construction starting in 1574. Secondly, due to the developments of the river section as part of the Madrid Rio project it now sits in a pleasant area of fountains, ponds and walkways. And thirdly and most importantly for me, is that if you are walking the south bank of the river, this bridge has the Royal Palace and the Cathedral as its backdrop and affords good views back towards central Madrid.
Like all the aforementioned bridges on this river it does not warrant a special trip out on its own, but if you intend to visit the river walk and the Parque Madrid Rio in particular, then this one is worth spending some time at.

A historical bridge built in the 1500s. The sculpture and carvings are beautiful. Well

Puente de Segovia is a nice stone bridge, resembling a Roman aqueduct. The bridge was built some time during the 16th century, and it is said it is the oldest in Madrid. The bridge owes its name to the fact that the way from one side is that from Segovia, so you cross over the river as if coming from that city into Madrid. It's also notable that the bridge has undergone a number of widenings and renovations over time to accommodate a modern, growing city environment. The bridge is not a very high bridge, but the views from there are still quite good. However a walk in the vicinity of the bridge is much better, than just standing on it.

Segovia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the Roman aqueduct. It ws built more than 2,000 years ago. It is a two-tiered structure that was originally 10 miles long with 118 arches. It is Europe's largest and best preserved aqueduct. You can also stroll through the medieval streets. A place worth visiting.

Segovia, Spain a must experience as part of visiting Spain.
The castle, moat, buildings are amazing to experience from many aspects I.e. designing, engineering, workmanship all from a period where no machinery, computers, metal bolts, beams, etc.
A definite WOW!

Puente de Segovia, (bridge of Segovia), is the oldest bridge in Madrid dating back to the late 1500’s.

It crosses over the Manzanares River and it was a nice walk along the banks, through the parklands around the bridge itself.

You can take some nice photo’s with the fountains and the bridge in the background.

It is not a top attraction in Madrid but if you have time and you are fond of bridges, you should go there. The bridge is beautiful and the surroundings , too. Not far from the Royal Palace. You can go there from Sol by bus No 50 and get off at ''Puente de Segovia'' or ''Jahn Duke Segovia'' stop, ask the driver to be sure. Find a bus route map at ''EMT Madrid buses''.

It's just an old bridge. What to expect from an old bridge. The view is nice. A couple of fountains. But again: it's just an old bridge.
