Beautiful Cathedral

This cathedral is beautiful; it is right next to the Royal Palace so it is worth your time to stop in and see it while in the area. It is of course free to go in.

There are some absolutely stunning items here but it also has some "modern art "approaches" which for us detracted from the more attractive elements.. It is free to enter with a requestbfor a donation which was nice . Worth a visit though

Awesome building and intricate artwork and decoration inside. Beautiful layout with many people milling about. The Crypt is an uplifting spiritual place and well worth visiting.

As a Catholic traveler, if you're going to have to hear mass, might as well go to the grandest church in Madrid. After your visit, make sure to walk a few steps towards the Temple of Debod.

Directly across form the royal palace and a must see. There is a museum, no photo's allowed, and the Cathedral, photo's allowed without flash. Wonderful architecture with Gothic style domes and arches. Stained glass is beautiful! Please be respectful as this is an active church, pews are reserved for those worshiping not a place to stand and get a good... More

Stunning building from the outside and it gets even better inside. When we visited there was a service on and it was beautiful you just get caught up in everything. Check out the amazing doors and the craftwork that went into making them.

..we visited when service was in progress, so couldn't see all there was to see. Small museum was closed, as was tower, so missed out on those delights too! There is a crypt which is also well worth a visit.
