I was interested to see this free exhibition which is in the library rather than the museum. Tickets are timed to 15 minutes and you have to be both in and out within the time slot. There are some interesting looking original manuscripts but frustratingly...More

Beautiful building. You can only visit the library if you have a library card which means no tourists are allowed. I had a look at some of the temporary exhibitions but only signs in Spanish and I didn’t find them very interesting.

Really wanted to see the library as most cities allow you to see the books and wander in. Not this one! You can visit the 'stairwell' and the exhibition, but the library is for 'locals who study and do research!'. Didn't bother going in. Nice...More

This is the back side of the Archeological Museum which is a must see in Madrid So if you go to the museum take a look at this fantastic architecture too and don´t forget to visit Plaza Colon right next to it.

There is a temporary exhibition on the ground floor exploring cartoons through the ages and then a permanent museum in the basement looking at books and language and printing. Aside from one interactive display all is in Spanish which is a shame. Most if not...More

The inside of the building is very beautiful, but there is one problem. There is no English speaking guide. However, the view is really impressive

Chavez: Es dificil entrar en esta biblioteca por la securidad extrema que tienen. Yo lo hize hace algunos años para buscar dos libros sobre mis antepasados y no encontre nada. Mejor buscarlo en el internet.
