Our hotel was practically around the corner from this plaza so we passed by, or close by, several times during our stay in Madrid. It is rather small and not an exciting place, really. It is across the road from the Sabatini Gardens, and very close to the Royal Palace and other interesting attractions. However in this Plaza there are some important buildings, like the Senate Palace and the Marquis de Grimaldi Palace. We did not visit these ones, but they looked quite nice. There is not much to do in the Plaza itself, but there are some bars, cafes and restaurants in the area.

My twin brother Stephen and I were visiting the wonderful and magnificent Royal Palace and we came across this nice busy square. Madrid is a city with many squares and this is nothing spectacular but it is interesting with some great architecture surrounding the square, there are also some fantastic cafes and bars near the square and your in an area that has some amazing architecture. We had a really pleasant time in the square and the streets leading into this plaza before moving onto the Royal Palace. Plaza De La Marina Espanola is really easy to locate, we jumped the metro down to stop Plaza De Espanola were you will easily find this nice square. Well worth checking out.
