We wandered over into this park to wait for Mass to finish at the Basilica del San Francisco El Grande. Fairly small, green, peaceful, it seems to be further from the city than it actually is. Very quiet.

Jardines de Las Vistillas is a park, but we did not find it too exciting. There is plenty of space and plenty of grass and a few plants and trees. There are also some water features and sculptures, but it seems almost too quiet. There is not a lot you can do there, apart from getting away from everything, but you are not really very far from those around you. It's okay if you are passing by but that's about all. There are some shops around as well.

Madrid has several historic viewpoints towards the mountains that are magnificent for watching the sunsets. This is one of the most recognized. It is one of the places for musical performances at the La Paloma festivities.
