About
You can find the Flamenco venue 'La Cueva de Lola' in the heart of Madrid's city centre, in the popular neighbourhood of La Latina. Only a few minutes away from the Plaza Mayor and Madrid's Royal Palace, this two-floor venue hosts a 17th-century cave, a unique place to enjoy an authentic flamenco show. La Cueva de Lola offers two 60 minutes daily shows (Tuesday to Sunday). In addition to the show, you can have drinks (great selection of wines and beers) and enjoy the local food choosing a tapas dinner and other Spanish delicatessen. Our mission is to offer you a first-class experience, and we have a young and talented team prepared to welcome you. We prioritize a top-tier show and service at a fair price. We live Flamenco. Come and live it with us.

Neighbourhood: Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.

- MammaBear60Warkworth, Canada238 contributionsExcellent dancing and musicOur local Madrid friend suggested that we attend the flamenco performance here. She booked the reservation and asked for a table close to the stage. We were seated about half way back as tables closer to the stage are for couples only who sit along the wall, so that was a bit disappointing. Our line of sight to the stage was excellent despite not being as close as I had expected to be. The show lasted 75 minutes including a break. We paid 25 Euros each and had quite a few choices for the included beverage. The dancing and the music were excellent and the price was reasonable.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 12 November 2023
- mlmmckeon8 contributionsgive it a go!This was fun and the performers were amazing. We paid for tapas along with the show. Don't overthink it pick this show because it is less expensive and still fun! :) It's really only an hour so it's not a huge time commitment and gives you a chance to check out flamenco - which i think may be a bit touristy - while not committing too much time. I think I would suggest skipping tapas and just get drinks instead because it's distracting to get your meal during the show and you feel like you dont want to chew too loudly ha.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 January 2024

Tourist Rip Off as far as the basics (water), Asked for 2 waters (small bottles) and were charged $6 Euros for EACH. $12 Euros for two small hand held bottles of water because they wont even offer tap water.
After paying $50 Euros per person for the show and Tapas/Drink you would think that they would not try to kill you by charging $6 Euros per person for some Water to wash down your Tapas.
Very quick in-and-out as far as Meal and Show. All done in about 1-Hour so that they can get the next show seating set to go.
Show itself is a Amazing. Dancers, Singer and Guitarist were real good.
Seating was up close and personal but a bit tight as tables and chairs were almost on top of each other. I would NOT recommend to a friend.

We made the reservation directly on the venue's portal since October 2023. We are a group of 19 people, so we did it in advance to ensure space and seating location. They informed us that it was done on a first-come, first-served basis. Once we paid, they sent an email with details stating, 'you don't have to do anything else.' On the day of the reservation around noon, I sent a message to express our excitement about visiting. Before the majority of the group arrived, two people had already shown up and were told that there was no reservation for 19 people. When we arrived at the venue, the young man who welcomed us claimed there was no reservation in the system. I searched on my phone (a bit worried, thinking I had made a mistake) and showed him the confirmation they had sent me. The guy checked and found the reservation. Unfortunately, they seated us in an area with limited visibility, and only 5 out of 19 people could see the show well. This negatively impacted the experience. It's worth to mention that the service during the show and the performance was good, but the administrative part was not efficient, and we did not have the best experience. I have visited other flamenco shows in Madrid. I would not return to this one.

From the outside this venue is just another bar but when you go in and are taken downstairs to the “cellar” it comes into its own. It is a fantastically intimate place and if you arrive early you will be seated right by the stage. The audience is limited to about 30 so book online and you wont be disappointed. The show itself runs for about an hour and 20 minute including the interval. If you have purchased a ticket which includes a drink, the waitresses will come round to take and deliver orders to your table before the show begins. A few people did eat there (included in more expensive ticket and food comes at the interval) - I cant comment on the quality but it looked good and there were no leftovers!
The show was amazing. The two dancers were outstanding and watching the effort put into their dances, it is not surprising the show is only an hour long. The guitarist was incredible and the singer soulful. My husband was not looking forward to this part of our holiday at all but absolutely loved it, as did I. The atmosphere is wonderfully intimate and I would quite happily visit again.

Being in Madrid for a few days, we decided that we must check out live flamenco dancing for the first time. We were thrilled to see that Lola's is a tiny, intimate venue where you can see and hear (and even feel) the powerful and beautiful artists at work just feet away from your table. Not only did the show include a male and a female dancer, but a live singer and an outstanding Spanish guitar player as well. The guitarist was so amazing that he even drew my attention away from the dancers. A wonderful experience with drinks and tapas. Highly recommend.

La Cueva de Lola is an absolute must see while in Madrid. The amount of passion that goes into the show is breathtaking and I was unable to take my eyes away from the dancers throughout the entire show. My boyfriend and I loved the show so much we decided to go back again on our last day in Madrid. Aside from the dancers and musicians being spectacular, the staff was also incredibly kind and helpful. One of the servers also has beautiful artwork displayed throughout the cave that is quite elegant and available for purchase. The whole experience was wonderful and it was very reasonably priced for such an exceptional experience. Would highly recommend going if you are in Madrid.

Very enjoyable flamenco show. Our ticket included a drink but you can order food for during the show. The setting, a cellar cave, is perfect with great ambience and the hour long flamenco show was very enjoyable. Absolutely worth the 25 Euro ticket price.

A lovely little find. The place is set in the cellar so it feels like a cave and is very intimate.
The performers were very good and it lasted around an hour with a break. Our ticket included a drink.
A really interesting, up close and personal view of Flamenco Dancing.

Small but nice place, in the center of Madrid. We booked in advance the show relating to the flamenco performances, which was exciting. Excellent dancers and musicians, very engaging, free in their movements, totally absorbed in their art.
Absolutely not to be missed!
