This was the last place we visited on a tour, it was a hot day and be careful when you get in the ruins it's very hot, so take a hat with you. It's all beautifully preserved and well worth a visit it's nice to have a guide to tell you the fascinating history.

There are amphitheatres the (Mediterranean) world over and this one is surprisingly complete. You enter via a museum but I must admit that I unusually charged through this without much attention as I was suffering from a cold and there were a couple of large guided tours ahead of me. So I have no idea how good it is but... More

We visited the Roman Theatre Museum as part of a cruise ship excursion, and really enjoyed having a look around. The video and museum part is quite interesting to find out the history behind it. When I then came through the corridor and got the first glimpse of the theatre, it was so beautiful. Be careful if you step where... More

Don't let the entrance put you off visiting this excellent museum. The whole experience and the cultural improvements to the city make it an extremely interesting place to visit!!

The museum is modern with artefacts from the amphitheatre including pottery and statues. From the museum you progress into the site itself and you have a pretty free hand to roam around, it's just not my thing. If I knew before hand I could just go to the park above the site and take a picture looking into the site... More

As a mature history student this Roman Theatre and museum was on my "must-do" list. I am so glad I had the opportunity to see it. The experience is well orchestrated, taking you first through several floors of exhibits before you emerge into the theatre itself You could almost see and feel the crowds of playgoers sitting on the benches... The museum was beutifully curated and it had an elevator in case you bring children or for people who find it hard to walk. You come out of the Medevial church, part of the museum into this amazingly preserved amphitheatre and stage which has been restored. This museum and it is wonderful legacy of the Roman past of this important... More

Locals living nearby recommended the museum to us , it was worth it , really interesting amazing roman history , they also have a gr8 little gift shop at the museum to buy interesting gifts rather than the Chinese made souvenirs you get st he tourist shops ✔

A well- constructed visit experience, in which you learn much about the site, before actually seeing it close up. The views are superb and the sense of ancient history is all around and it's evident that there's much more to uncover in this delightful pre-Christian city. Good value for money.
