Plaza de San Francisco is a traditional town square in Cartagena with trees planted around. There are shops and cafes serving the people, mainly local residents. The houses or buildings around are quite dilapidated despite that this area is the gathering place for local people.

My recollection is of a large open area ringed by lovely buildings. There is shade from some beautiful trees and some seating areas. Hope this helps.
