Murcia Bike Hire offer you the easiest and most convenient way to hire a carbon road bike in the Murcia and Alicante regions of southern Spain. We're offering high quality Cervélo and Focus carbon road bikes, that are serviced by a professional bike mechanic before each and every rental. What's more we include track & bike pump, multi-tool, tyre levers, spare inner tube, spare tyre, alan keys, seat bag, Garmin mounts, 2 x bottle cages and a bike lock as standard with every delivery. We also offer optional extras such as helmets and pedals available for rental, and bottles and SIS nutrition available for pre-order we've got everything you need. In addition to the above, we are here to help with route advice and GPX downloads so you can pre-load your Garmin before you fly! Simply visit our website, email or call us to book, and have your road bike of choice delivered to your accommodation and collected for free. Organising a group of 6 guys is never easy, but with Stuart providing great advice and quick responses it was a doddle. Stuart runs a friendly professional outfit with great quality bikes, hotels and transfers. Everything went smoothly and everyone was 100% delighted.

Excellent experience with tailor made weekend for a group of 6 cyclists in two locations (Sierra Espuna & Los Alcazares) & quality bikes supplied by Murcia Bike Hire.
Murcia Bike Hire arranged the whole event from the Private transfers to hotels, bikes & routes. The owner is English, lives locally & was quick to respond to our enquiry with ideal solution we all enjoyed & reasonably priced.

MurciaBike/Stuart was super helpful and responsive with a short notice request for bike rental. We agreed delivery between 10-11 AM and Stuart was there right on time. Helpful with seat high adjustment etc. and sent route suggestions that met our needs. Also very punctual pick-up. Bikes were great and very well serviced. My best recommendations for

I hired a bike for 7 days from Murcia bike hire. It was easy and hassle free.The bike was dropped off at my friends appartment at the agreed time and picked up again on time. Stuart took time to ensure the bike was the correct fit for my measurements. The Cervelo R3 was in amazing condition, rode perfectly and I can honestly say it was the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden! I'm already looking to purchase one :) Can't recommend it enough. It really was a hassle free experience.

Hires some gleaming Cervelo bikes from Stu at Murcia bike hire for 4 days. Can't recommend it enough. Hassle free booking , bikes delivered bang on time at our accommodation. Stu set up the bikes for us. Very efficient, helpful and friendly service

Visited El Valle Golf Resort for a week at the end of September and hired a bike for 3 days while there. The Cervelo bike looked brand new with disk brakes and di2 shifting, it was fantastic. Stuart dropped the bike off early on the Monday morning and picked it up on the Wednesday after I’d completed my ride that day. Couldn’t fault the service, Stuart was very responsive to any queries via What’s App and provided me with numerous Strava routes to follow. A 10/10 service for me, I’ll definitely use again when I next visit the area 🚴🏽♂️☀️😎

I visited Alicante with friends in August 2023 and stayed in El Campello. As a keen MAMIL I wanted to hire a high-spec carbon road bike prior to my trip and found Murcia Bike Hire on the web. After checking out a few reviews, I messaged them with some questions and quickly got the answers I needed via a Whats App message from the owner, Stuart. It was an easy decision after that, so I booked my bike, paid the deposit, and couldn't wait to get out there.
You provide a few measurements during the booking, and I also chose to have the bike delivered, so it's already fitted when it arrives. Had a good chat with Stuart about all things cycling when he delivered the bike, and he sent me some of his favourite routes, which I duly rode.
Did 3 rides in total and it was an amazing experience. The roads are in great condition (far better than in the UK!) and the scenery is stunning. Vast swathes of sparsely vegetated land and mountainous ranges, with pockets of heavy woodland that appear almost out of nowhere. There is one route Stuart jokingly calls Lee Van Cleef voices, and when you ride it you will see why. A lot of the spaghetti westerns were filmed here during the '60s.
Another route has a 2-hour climb with many switchbacks, which is part of the famous La Vuelta, and I had a couple of pro riders fly past me on the way up. It was well worth the climb, as the views at the top were absolutely stunning, and the downhill run got the adrenalin pumping.
I've shared some of my favourite photos to give you a taste of what to expect if you visit Alicante and the El Campello region.
It was actually a family holiday, so I rode in the morning when the kids were still in bed, and the temperature was okay. It gets super hot in the afternoons. Take plenty of water with you when riding.
It was a fantastic experience and I have no hesitation in highly recommending Murcia Bike Hire if you are a keen or serious cyclist. Stuart is a top guy and goes above and beyond to ensure your cycling needs are met. He's got a new range of BMCs with Di2 due in shortly to hire, so be sure to check out Murcia Bike Hire if you are planning a trip to Alicante anytime soon.

I can't rate Stuart at Murcia Bike Hire and the service he provides highly enough! Oh, the convenience of having a bike delivered and collected from my hotel, even though it was tucked away in one of the smaller villages within the Sierra Espuna national park.
My Cervelo was an absolute joy to ride - very well maintained, perfectly appropriate gear ratios and configured for my height requirements within a couple of minutes of Stuart's arrivals.
As to the riding that can be done in Murcia. Well, it's an absolute joy!
Tree-lined roads, hardly any traffic, manageable gradients (5-10%) in my area and perfect temperatures in October 2023, 25-30C. Yes, some of the road surfaces leave something to be desired but otherwise it's a perfect place to twiddle.
Go there, hire a bike from Stuart and enjoy!
