We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This part of the city walls is worth a look as it is the best example of how one of the main gateways would look. You also get good views of the surrounding city and country side.

This is part of the city walls rather than something that stands on its own but it is still very beautiful. We took it in as we walk Ed the entire 5 km which was just fascinating and highly recommended.

It is easy walking and has some incredible views, none more so than from this gate as you see out across the new city and onto the mountains. The arch is extremely well preserved as are the rest of the walls.

Portal de Francia is what remains of an old City Gate. This is part of old city fortifications and this particular spot was an entrance to Pamplona city. There is a drawbridge and it is the most exciting attraction to the whole thing. I don't know if it still works; I don't think it does, but it draws some visitors!

As above really. The gateway isn't hugely decorated or awe-inspiring, it's just functional. The drawbridge mechanism is still in situ but no portcullis.
Excellent views.

This historic gate is part of the walls and fortifications and you will pass it on your walking tour. It is close to the point where the Running of the Bulls begins.

By comingin at this gate you get a great idea of medieval Pamplona. The walls are huge and awe inspiring.

This old city gate is the traditional entrance to Pamplona via the Campostela de Santiago. There is a ramp up, with a turn into the actual gateway, which has a neat coat of arms emblazoned upon it.

Hang out by this gate in the early to mid-afternoon and greet pilgrims trekking on the way to Santiago de Campostella. Wonderful fortifications, some dating back to the Romans.

Other names Gateway of France and Gateway of Zumalacárregui, is only one of the six gates on the walls at its original location and the appearance has not changed since 1533! It bears the coat of arms of King Charles V.

The outer gate with its drawbridge and chains was brought later in the 18th century. The city walls were thus impregnable.

The view from here down to the Arga river is breathtaking and the walk around is pleasant. Try transposing to the old times and relax.
