About
BIOPARC VALENCIA is a unique zoo. Its design employs the “zooimmersion” concept, in which visitors are surrounded by meticulous recreations of the natural habitats being presented. Social animals that live together in groups are displayed, as well as groups of different species that coexist in the same habitats. Predatory species are integrated into the visual space, but are separated from other species by barriers invisible to the eye of the visitor, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the people. The animals, vegetation and landscape provide opportunities for discovering the complexity of natural ecosystems.

recommend to get the food package.
As always I recommend that you arrive early. We got our tickets in advance and decided to include the food option. It has to be online and that way you can get the combo park entrance and lunch at a discount. I was hessitant about getting this food option, but was really glad I took it. We went immmediately to Africa and saw the Lemurs free in some trees. After we went to see the movie set for around 1115. We went to finish checking Africa(zone in the map). We arrived around 12 to teh cafeteria. We were within the first 3 families to go to the lunch place. Get eraly it get really busy later. Ita was AWESOME the food was amazing, for a zoo at least. There you were abel to dine in the shade or inside with AC, we went out to the shade and saw really close many animals. We left 150 about and wento to the bird show... must see. THen we took our time to watch the rest of the zoo. At the end there was icecream and a play ground for Kids. We let our child play and then went to Carrefour... some grocery shopping and went to the house. Hope this helps.

IT was really worth od see
The park was very nice. Worth to see. Tickets online go raster though the gate, but buying on the place didn't take too much longer. All viewseeing took about 1 hour without rush. Parking under the park is for 7 euro (you can leave car for 10h and go to the city). You cannot take food and drinks into the park apart of water on glass bottle. They are checking your bagsack.

    Amazing place
Amazing place! Very well designed in that a lot of the viewing areas are in shade. Doesn't feel like a zoo as the barriers between visitors and animals are [largely] made to look natural (boulders, trees etc). We went to most of the more high profile museums etc in Valencia and the children said this was their favourite.

    Fantastic day out
Four of us visited the Bioparc during our stay in Valencia. What a great day. The environment was beautiful, there were no obtrusive fences etc. All the animals seemed to be roaming around which you don't tend to get in a zoo. There were lots of waterfalls and running water much of which was full of fish. There was a lot of unusual species in the bioparc which also made it interesting. Also when we stopped for a drink the cafe and restaurant overlooked where the giraffes were kept so you had uninterrupted views of the animals. I can't recommend this day out highly enough. I would definitely go back if I go back to Valencia

    Beautiful African collection
This is a beautiful zoo - not one cage in sight. Everything is held in by moats and rocks. The only walled/netted enclosures are for birds. It’s lovely to see so many mixed enclosures. We got a really good view of a very active fossa, along with so many other animals. The only problem we had was with mosquitoes- we got bitten to pieces, so take some insect repellent! Highly recommended.

BioPark brings African safari to Valencia
Remember BioPark is focused on Africa so it does not have animals from other parts of the world. A compact site and cleverly designed so that you get to see many wild animals up close. It seems that many animals are sharing the same enclosure with "natural" barriers keeping predators separate from some animals. Best highlights was seeing Silverback gorillas and hippos close up.

    Beautiful Zoo
This Zoo is one of the best I've visited. Its beautifully designed, and not too big. All the animals look wonderfully cared for, and have natural, beautiful habitats. The gorillas are wonderful, especially the silver back that has his own enclosure. He sat right in front of the glass, the closest your ever likely to get to a magnificent creature like that.

    Relaxing experience at the Bioparc.
My wife and I had planned a 3 night stay in Valência and began to research our options for the trip. We are big foodies and so the majority of the trip was with the intention of sampling the gastronomic delights for which Valencia is famous. So tapas bars and paella as well as the infamous tomato bread we’re priorities. Filling in the gaps apart from the obvious sight seeing was our next goal. We flew in from Faro and could not access our apartment until 3pm. So after dropping our bags, we took the metro to the bio park. We were so pleased we did. It is not a Zoo!!! The animals are kept in as close to their natural habitats as the surroundings allow. They were all impeccably well kept. The focus is education and conservation, but although the helpful signage advises you of this it is not rammed down your throat. This leaves you to learn about the animals natural habitats while enjoying the experience of being extremely close to some very big wild animals. We spent around 2 & a half hours which afforded us plenty of time to see everything at a leisurely pace. I would definitely recommend a trip here.

    Loved the visit
Went after I had run the marathon, saw the elephant en route! The park is immaculate, a real testiment to proper animal care. Very well constructed so we could get a really good glimpse of all the animals without disturbing them too much and great to see no cages! The restaurant views are amazing but would have liked to have seen a slightly more imaginative menu tbh, too much meat, too 'cafeteria' like, why not do tapas and more veggie options with the ethos of animal care?! Overall I really enjoyed visiting, well worth going if you are in Valencia 🙂

    A must-visit place, wonderful Zoo
We had a lovely time at this Zoo. It is a relatively new Zoo and the layout and design of the various animal enclosures (no cages!) are very well thought out. A large collection, some very unusual, animals. Allow plenty of time for your visit!

Great biopark in València, fun for children and for adults as well. Green, wide, made with love. Half a day is enough to enjoy all the animals.

Animals were having a right laugh the day we went - maybe the cheeky zookeepers put a bit of magic mushroom in the mulch feed! Elephants titted about in the water and the apes were parading around massaging and eating their own guano, which was fascinating I suppose. Good for the kids if you're not weird about them watching masturbating primates.

I visited this zoo with my friend. Both mid 50s. As we strolled around the zoo we realised that this would be a lovely place to come for anyone trying to escape the blazing sun ..(we were not, we thought we would go around in the sunshine! NOT the case.) Approximately 90% of the paths are either indoors or shaded by trees/clever planting arrangements. It would be a great way to pass a couple of hours if you have children. The pathways seemed to be negotiable no problem by anyone pushing a buggy. There are a wide variety of animals and a unique habitat for the ring tailed lemurs whereby you feel as though you are actually in with them, they are so close. It took us 90mins to go around but we didn't go to the children's playground or have anything to eat. (We had just had lunch before going there! It is easily accessed from the long river walk and very near the artificial lake where you could hire swan/dragon shaped pedalos. Another activity children would love! ) This is not a huge zoo and that's probably why you feel as though you are closer to the animals. Animal information signs are in 3 languages including English. Cost to get in €28.95 per person. We didn't mind that as the money goes towards helping look after the animals. Sadly, one of the Chimpanzees had lost her baby and was carrying around the dried out stiffened body which a sign explained was part of the grieving process! Overall, I would recommend a visit if you have a family to entertain or you want to spend a very pleasant 1 1/2- 2 hours out of the sun.

We had a lovely and very interesting morning at the Biopark, it was really well laid out and the animals seemed to have enough space, we liked walking through all the different zones. Also it wasn’t too busy on our weekday visit so you could see everything easily and at our own pace, things might be different at the weekend or holiday time. But well worth a visit

I love it here. This must by my fifth time visiting Valencia and everytime we head to the bioparc. This was our first time as a family but our three year old enjoyed it as much as we do. She’s still talking about Jonny the silverback gorilla (yes we had to visit him three times and had tears when we had to say goodbye), she is now such a fan of gorillas. I love this because it looks very natural and feels as close as you could get. The animals all look well cared for and you genuinely can get quite close. A giraffe popped up their head and I was so close (there is no zoom on this photo at all). We went to the cafe who were great about my child’s allergy and went above and beyond. A great day visit if your in Valencia!

Great experience! Very well organized, you don’t need a map, you can just walk and the paths are arranged one after another so you can enjoy every minute instead of looking at the map and wondering around. Animals are arranged like in real life together, in a huge place and at the same time close to people. They are naturally separated by either rocks, trees or small rivers.
