BIOPARC VALENCIA is a unique zoo. Its design employs the “zooimmersion” concept, in which visitors are surrounded by meticulous recreations of the natural habitats being presented. Social animals that live together in groups are displayed, as well as groups of different species that coexist in the same habitats. Predatory species are integrated into the visual space, but are separated from other species by barriers invisible to the eye of the visitor, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the people. The animals, vegetation and landscape provide opportunities for discovering the complexity of natural ecosystems.

I visited the Bioparc as I had some time to spare in Valencia and was really happy with it - once I got inside. It might have been because I went on sunny holiday, but the line outside to get the tickets was just insane, I spent more than 30 minutes there!!! Once I actually managet to go inside, I... More

We bought the ticket combined with the Valencia Tour Bus which reduced the price as it is a little expensive. It was such a lovely environment, the animals are free to mix with animals they would normally encounter in the wild and it's lovely to see. The baby Gorilla was worth the visit alone!

A fantastic day out - so very good we bought annual tickets so we could keep going back! But get heir in time for the special show at 11am - they shut the doors to the show once it has started and, having peered through the fence, I can understand why! We will definitely be in time on the next... More

I should start by saying that I don't like zoos, which are a necessary evil. Too often animals are bored and restricted and separated from others. Here however, animals area allowed to mix with those they would encounter in the wild so, for example, the Savannahs area sees elephants, giraffe and antelopes as well as rhinos and zebras, although for... Don't be fooled by the name of the park - Biopark. It's a zoo. Like all zoo's the zoo animals are confined, with not enough space. Some very old too, The lions. We watched a huge hippo swim around and around in circles for as long as we were there in a small under water viewing tank. Disappointed we fell... More

The Bioparc Zoo is terrific. Went last December, and there were still so many animals to see, yet there was next to no crowd. It was not very cold, and we had tons of time to stop to look and study up on all the different animals. On the whole a good day. One of the most modern zoos we... More

We visited in January, the weather was lovely and the park was quiet. It is beautifully designed, and the animals look relaxed and happy. The enclosures are large, and give the animals the stimulation so often missing. You feel that you are watching natural behaviour. The short animal show is delightful- the wild pigs work together to move tree trunks... More

For quite a small zoo there was a lot to see, lots of cool animals, especially the hippos you can see walking around underwater. The cafe/resteraunt bit overlooks the main enclosure and its really nice to sit there and watch. Also, despite it being January which seemed to have most of the locals in many layers of coats I still... More

A fantastic concept for a city zoo. Animals seemed to enjoy the surroundings and their habitats. For the animals it also looked amazingly natural and confortable with plenty of space to roam around. First of its class for me and our family.

Couples, families, small kids or teenagers alike, this place is a must to visit while in Valencia. Place don't stink, like most of the zoos do. Surprising yet refreshing to find that and making the experience all the more fun. Animals are in their own habitats and mostly mixed, making experience very naturally looking. Very safe place. Few souvenir shops.... More
