About
Day trip wine tour to Valencian wine region, for a guided tour in a top winery and wine tasting; your guide is sommelier, expert on Valencian wines. After the winery we either visit the regional wine museum, 9th century caves used for wine and cereal storage (with wine tasting), or excavations of an Iberian village (500BC). We will then enjoy the local gastronomy with traditional local dishes and local wine.

We had a great day with Johan who was a wealth of knowledge on the different wines. Great to see some of the country side and a real working winery. I would recommend the tour with Johan as he is great guide and person to spend the day with. the whole tour is very authentic.

What a wonderful trip to a winery just outside of Valencia city. Transportation by bus and a wonderful experience at the winery. The wine, food and meeting new people make for a fun day! Highly recommend this to all!

thanks for your review, Bill! We had a very nice relaxing day at the winery, picking and stomping grapes, and a wonderful lunch at the winery - sadly enough we can only do this in the harvest season... next year again!

We contacted Johan last minute and he designed the most amazing day. We explored two different wineries, and stayed for lunch at the second one.
The tours where interesting and informative with out going into too much detail as we are seasoned wine tourists. Just perfect. I highly recommend

Writing this review while sipping my wine from our tour with Johan. What a fabulous day it was! Everything was smooth and seamless. Booking was super easy and the communication was great. Johan touched base a couple times ahead of the day just to make sure we were on track and knew where to find him when we arrived. He drove us out to the old village of Requena, where we toured a little bit of the tiny city, and then entered and spent some time in these incredible wine caves, followed by a really nice tasting. We then ventured onto a more traditional winery with a vineyard. Had a small tour as well as another very nice tasting outside at a picnic table overlooking the vineyard. And we wrapped with a traditional and delicious lunch in the village.
I can’t say enough about what a fabulous day it was with Johan, our very knowledgeable and friendly host and guide. We will certainly be looking him up when we return to Valencia. In the meantime, we will enjoy the wines that we smuggled back in our suitcase to the US. :)

Johan was our driver and tour guide. His knowledge of the region and wines was exceptional. We toured a local wine cave and sampled wines from 2 different wineries. One was in center of old town and the other was in the countryside. Both tastings were educational and beautiful. Then we had lunch in town with authentic Valencian dishes and more wine!
