    Futuristic Building
The futuristic City of Arts and Sciences building is quite a spectacular design and is worthy of a visit. The design is to represent a human eye, the eye of wisdom. The building was inaugurated in 1998, is over 100 meters in length. Although I didn’t go in, I did appreciate the building and the area.

Take a Photo and Move On
One of the wild modern buildings that is a part of the complex of challenging new architecture in the park. This one appears to float in the water. Come and take a photo and then move on, which is what everyone does as there are no cafes or services near here.

    Great optics
Really worth visiting if you carefully chose what to watch. I genuinely enjoyed the documentary about the seas. But if you are more into an M-She-U, please, go to a local cinema. Please, keep the headphones till the end. Seen people who had trobles for not returning them in.

Amazing building and impressive movie for a nice price
It is an amazing building and we went to see the Escher movie. The movie was really interesting, the cinema hall was big and impressive. The translation service with the special headsets was good, although the sound of the movie itself was too loud, so it was sometimes difficult to hear the translation via the headset. We were in the middle of the theatre, we think it is better to sit more in the back because sometimes we had to look really far up. The prices are low and we also had some discount with the Valancia Travel Card.

We opted for the Universe Wonders and it was great in the fine IMAX. Lasting about an hour or so, much of it covered pioneering research at CERN.

Another wonder is the edifice itself. Resembling an eye, symbolising knowledge and more importantly wisdom, it is a further stunning creation by Calatrava in the City.

if you want to see something unusual in Spain, you must go to Valencia to the hemispheres! inside is a fascinating screen that makes you feel like you are part of the movie! I really liked it, I'm sure I'll go there again!

Never experienced anything like this before! We arrived after spontaneously deciding to buy tickets to watch one of the shot films so we didn't really know what to expect. Once inside the domed theater we put on our headsets and couldn't believe how good the visuals were. It really felt like the screen was all around you and we could have just spent hours watching the different showings. It really took IMAX to the extreme and gave you a glimpse of what future technology could be like.

I was looking forward to this experience but it was a horrible experience. The sound of my headsets was like a radio signal and i couldnt hear anything. My boyfriend and i put the sound higher with the hope that we could hear something and the spanish crowd next to us was complaining it was too loud. Very important..Spanish crowd is mixed with internationals so you end up bothering eachother with the audio. Quality of the film was horrible. We visited the secrets of the universe but it was barely showing images of the universe it was more a documentary. After the film we noticed almost all internationals have removed their headphones because they also couldnt hear. We complained to the staff but they couldn’t speak english in the info desk. Therefore no solution was offered except watching a new film with those headphones.. no thank you.

The dolphin display was amazing & they were clearly having fun. However, the penguins looked agitated and I didn’t think their pool was big enough.

The main fish tanks were huge and brilliant.

The birds were a waste of time.

Food and coffee in the restaurants was expensive.

For the dolphins alone this place is worth a visit.

We went to see the short film on volcanoes. Not that we haven't seen similar documentaries before but we thought it would be a good option. The initial sound and light introduction was very good and the short film excellent in terms of the visuals. The actual soundtrack was really good, just the commentary via the headphones not so good - but that's down to the headphones that are heavy and unwieldy. I'm not sure if they have children sized versions and my husband just held them up to his ear rather than put them on. Still loved the whole thing though and it's very reasonably priced. Well worth it.

Once in Valencia there are some things that need to be tested. One of this is the Hemisferic. It's the projection of a documentary on a 180° screen, which absorbs you completely.
My interest in this kind of experience was due to the fact that the 3D projectors were built by the company for which I work for, and because I wanted to see an astronomic projection to fulfil my interest for this matter.
Unfortunately, according to the fact that you have to book your projection when you buy the combined ticket with the Aquarium and the Science Museum, we saw a documentary on the Arab world that was indeed very interesting: you are completely absorbed from the scene.
Be aware to carefully plan your visit if you want to see a specific projection.
The only drawback is that it's better not to reserve a seat just after lunch or when you are a little bit tired from your trip, because the armchairs are too comfortable and the risk to fall asleep is very high :-).
