This company provides comfortable ebikes with paniers or baskets. We went with a guide who had English audio descriptions of key locations. he was very patient and allowed us to spend time at the various places. it was a great way to see the city and we enjoyed threading our way between the tourists. excellent value

I spent two days in matera and tried both the electric bike and the risciò and it was a lot of fun!
With the electric bike we arrived untill the belevedere in parco della Murgia, a magic place on top of the cannon where we crossed with wild horses, free cows and birds, we stopped into several tufo caves until the best view point in front of sasso caveoso.
later in the day we took the risciò around matera and it was a lot of fun!
But the best is simply domenico....funny, knowledgeable and generous with his time!
Prices are a,so very low for what you get, and domenico is super flessibile with the time. Absolutely recommended if you are looking for something different and exciting in matera! Grazie domenicooooo

Domi was fantastic. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth the reasonable rates and a great way to see Matera in 2 hours. We would recommend this to everyone wanting a fun excursion.

We traveled to Matera and planned our day around our scheduled tour with Grand Tour of the Stones . Three hours before our tour we received a notice that they canceled our tour and we could reschedule for April 3. Unfortunately we will be leaving the area. Our first tour was scheduled for April 1 and they canceled 3 weeks before and suggested we schedule for March 30.

What a fabulous way to see the sites of Matera. Our guide Dominico rode his bike in front of our electric rickshaw to direct where we needed to ride, and we each had our own audio guides to explain what we were seeing. There were plenty of stops, and we had time to go into many of the churches to have a look around. We also visited a fabulous Casa. The tour wasn’t rushed at all and it was the only one I could find that lasted 2 hours. There is a little bit of hard peddling at the end, but otherwise it’s very easy riding. And fun! Would definitely recommend.

What a fun way to tour Matera! Great viewpoints, good information, the right pace, and loved visiting the traditional cave home.

This was super fun. Definitely not what I was expecting. It is a great way to see the city and the views, then once you have had a chance to see where to go, you can continue exploring on foot. Our guide Fransisco was so kind and full of knowledge!

While Matera Bike Tour has hit upon an excellent idea, the e-bike tour lacked in professionalism and execution.
One of our group had a flat tire midway through the ride and the guide did not have an air pump, spare tube, or any of the other equipment you would expect from a professional company. Instead, we waited for an hour for a truck to bring a spare bike. Once delivered, the replacement bike’s kickstand was faulty and fell at least 7 times while being ridden.
The tour itself consisted of riding rapidly to different viewpoints. Our guide’s English was very poor and the information she provided was factually inaccurate- whether this inaccuracy was due to poor translation or actual lack of knowledge, I cannot say. We were disappointed not to learn more about the history of the area and the city.
Upon return to the store, we were told by our guide that we had to pay for the tour in cash. When it was pointed out to our guide that this would have been useful information to have before the tour so that we didn’t have to make a hurried ATM trip, she became argumentative and insisted that she had told us, which she clearly had not.
The sites are beautiful and e-bikes are a fun way to tour. However, Matera Bike Tour is not the company to use until/unless it fixes some very fundamental issues.
