Last month I was traveling alone and wanted to do a half day tour so I contacted Daniele who I have toured with twice before. He suggested his four-hour “Taste Ravello” tour.
Daniele picked me up at my hotel in Praiano and we drove to Ravello. First stop was the shop “Gusti e Delizie” where I enjoyed tasting several different olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Proprietor Francesco guided me through the tasting with explanations of the different characteristics of the oils and vinegars that were attributable to their growing areas and conditions. Delightful and tasty! I ordered several bottles which arrived safely at my home a few weeks later.
Next we walked to Caseificio Staiano where I met proprietor and cheesemaker Biagio Staiano. Biagio explained the process as he walked me through the steps of making mozzarella. I participated in stirring and then stretching the mozzarrella into balls and even into a braid. The braid was not so easy! Afterward, Biagio prepared a giant plate of fresh mozzarella with beautiful tomatoes and basil and another with different types of cheese. It was too much food! And it was SO delicious. Not sure what was better: Biagio’s enthusiastic personality or his outstanding cheeses. ❤️
Daniele was there during both tours to participate in the tastings and demonstrations and to interpret when I had a little trouble understanding at the cheese shop. He is such a treasure. If you have the opportunity to visit the area you would be missing out if you do not tour with Daniele.

If you have the opportunity to tour Amalfi with Daniele I highly advise you do it! Not only is he funny and charming, but he is extremely knowledgeable about the area and the vineyard he takes you to.
Daniele takes you to a couple different places, all of which are gorgeous and filled with rich history that he will tell you all about and I mean down to the local plants and produce. With the added bonus that he keeps cold Prosecco(and waters) on him at all times there really isn’t a dull moment, you’re either laughing or learning from Daniele!
Truly a tour worth every penny as he is a spectacular driver, which is comforting on these tiny roads, and he takes pictures of your group to share with you like having an extra camera while you’re having a candid moment.
Thank you, Daniele! You truly helped create some very memorable moments while we’re here in Amalfi.

My trip to Amalfi was built around a marriage proposal to my girlfriend of four years. Having never traveled to this area I stressed about how and where to stage my proposal; I wanted a romantic, semi-private, beautiful, and comfortable setting where my partner and I would feel at home. Daniele di Palma nailed it on every level and I'm so greatful for his thoughtfulness and efforts. I stumbled across Daniele's reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to contact him. With several short conversations he obviously knew what I was after and how to put it together.
Daniele picked us up at our hotel and when he stepped out to greet us, I knew we were going to love this man. All smiles and charm to no end. He catered to our comfort and filled us of interesting knowledge of the area from Positano, through Sorrento, then to our main destination in Pompeii. He took us to a beautiful vineyard in Pompeii, Bosco de Medici. After a short tour of the compound we were guided to our private dining area where we would enjoy a five course lunch and tasting of all the wonderful wines this vineyard had to offer. Our courtyard was four walls and a ceiling full of live grape vines, fruit literally hanging over our heads. The setting was over the top and overflowing with romance. All the pomp and circumstance was to follow from dedicated sommelier, delicious wines, amazing meal, roses, Daniele popping in to make a toast, and a photographer to capture all the special moments; and did I mention she said yes!?!?! Lunch was followed by another trip around the compound with photographer, photos of our day were plentiful.
This was a full day trip and Daniele had more in store for us. We left the vineyard and embarked on a lovely drive through the mountains and ended up in Ravello with a couple hours to spare. Ravello = Romance. We are now in fairy tale romance overload, capped off by an alway scenic drive across the Amalfi coast. Daniele brought it all. He created a perfect day based on my vision and I can't thank him enough. Look no further than Daniele di Palma and Amalfi Coast Wine Tours. Thank you and bravisimo to you Daniele!! I'll never forget the day you arranged for us. You are a rockstar!

Daniele planned out several days of our trip for us, drove us around, and educated us all on the local wines from his knowledge as a sommelier. He’s an excellent driver - which is important on such winding mountain roads - and lovely company. I’d definitely recommend him.

Our visit to the Amalfi Coast was made even more impressive by the warm hospitality given by Daniele and his associates.
He picked us up from the train station and immediately made us feel comfortable and excited for a new few days. We enjoyed an incredible boat tour to Capri, a wine tour and Pompeii ruins visit, and a transfer back to the airport.
Daniele went above and beyond to ensure we had the most fantastic time and made us feel like we were family or maybe fellow local celebrities. We had a few hiccups in our planning, and Daniele ensured we got everything taken care of. He gave us the best tips for restaurants, beaches, and more. We appreciated his sense of humor throughout our time immensely.
Truly best-of-class service, you will not regret booking with him and his team!

We did not do a wine tour with Daniele, but for daily car service during our trip to the Amalfi Coast. He and Salvatore were the most amazing, safe, friendly, flexible and prompt drivers we could have asked for. Denise made all of our arrangements for us before we traveled and was so kind and flexible every step of the way (we had many changes leading up to the trip and she couldn't have been more helpful and friendly). They knew the area incredibly well and gave us invaluable information about what to see, try, and what to avoid. His service was recommended by our Airbnb host and we couldn't have made a better choice. My only regret is not having done a wine tour with Daniele but it gives me a great reason to return. Thank you for all of your assistance and making our vacation a great one!

Danielle made my trip to the Amalfi Coast all I dreamed. He is first a gentleman and next an excellent guide. Everywhere he drove me, people would come up and speak so fondly to him, usually all laughing.
His connections with obtaining a knowledge guide in Pompeii and the winery was solid and delightful.

Daniele met us at the dock at Amalfi and the day began with a beautiful drive to Ravello and fun conversation. We strolled the city learning interesting facts. Went to a 3rd generation cheese maker and learned the art of making mozzarella cheese. We ate some of what we made and sampled many different cheeses with pear salsa, fresh tomatoes and balsamic. The ricotta was as smooth as panna cotta. Daniele then drove us to Naples to our hotel. It was a spectacular day!

Daniele is THE best Amalfi coast guide. So much that I have been back to him multiple times. He’s a very good sommelier and clearly has lots of connections with local businesses. He will take care of every need you have and every need you didn’t know you have. His personal touch on any experience you choose will be above and beyond what you expect. I personally do the wine tour each visit but he also provides transportation around Amalfi when I am in town. If he cannot be there to pick me up one of his team members will be there and provide and exceptional experience. If you have read my review for this long stop and book a tour with him right now. Enough said just stop thinking about it and book it.

This is the second time we have used Daniele. He is a wonderful guide and knows the Amalfi coast so well. So personable and he took us to a beautiful winery and he is the best wine sommelier! He arranged for us to go to a olive oil tasting that I can’t say enough good things about. I would highly recommend him and his company. I can’t wait to go back and see him again.

Hi Daniele, You get very nice reviews. We will be coming to Sorrento and Positano June 4th thru the 15th splitting the vacation between the two towns. We would like to do a few tours, the first would be of Pompeii from Sorrento and we would also like to do a separate wine day tour. What would you suggest and do you also do transfers from Naples to Sorrento and back from Positano.

I will be traveling to the Amalfi coast with my husband and 4 year old son in the end of Feb. Is the tour okay for a 4 year old? If so, should we bring a kids car seat or can you provide one? Given that it is the low season, do you have a recommendation to what town to stay in?
