Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a wonderful show with a very talented group of performers. I was not expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. The cocktails included prior to the beginning of the show was a very pleasant touch. The view of the terrace was lovely.
I highly recommend taking the time to attend. You can attend just the show with free cocktails, or attend the dinner on the balcony.

Even although we didn't understand a word of Italian this was one of the highlights of our trip. The show was 100% professional and the fact that at least 50% of the audience were Italian speaks for itself. If you are in Sorrento, do not miss this experience.

This was a highlight of our visit to Sorrento. A great price for a dinner and show with a discount obtained by bringing a copy of Rick Steve's travel guide. You may also just purchase tickets for the show only. The food was very good with a choice of fish or pasta, vegetables and of course bottles of white or red wine. A dessert finished the meal. all while dining, two tenors from the show sing and play traditional songs as they walk along from table to table. After dinner, everyone is escorted downstairs to the main theatre and seated in prime location. The show is exceptional with first class performances of all the wonderful Sorrento and italian songs accompanied with dancing and some expressive acting to match the songs. At times the entire cast is dancing on the stage. The set designs are from Sorrento's history and depict street scenes, wharfs and countryside.

I went on Saturday evening with some friends. This is a really good night out. The drinks were included which is a nice idea, the show is beautiful, funny and very entertaining with a bit of Sorrento culture. Definitely not to be missed and the music is to die for. We loved it!

The theater has local music and dances. The whole event is not long leaving time for eating afterwards. The entrance ticket includes free drink on the patio.

A good evenings entertainment, we enjoyed the welcome drink on the terrace overlooking Marina Piccolo. The show was full of traditional Italian singing, dancing and folk lore.

We were offered this evening entertainment as an optional excursion as part of a tour. What a great evening's entertainment. The costumes were colourful. The music great and the singing of a good standard. Pre show drinks on the terrace added to the comfortable seats. If in Sorrento do not miss this great night out with lots of audience participation and well know songs and music.

Really had a wonderful evening. The entire experience was near perfect. Great food, superb service and the theater experience was fantastic. I read reviews about it being "cheesy" but I would disagree with that opinion. It was far more than I expected. High quality stage performances, great live music, audience participation, old world charm. Opera quality voice and theater.

If in Sorrento, and you are up fora great meal and fun evening, I highly recommend the Teatro Tasso.

We went to see the "Sorrento Musical", which was a thoroughly enjoyable evening out. The musical is all in Italian, but that really is no barrier for non-Italian speakers (like ourselves). The musical is very visual, so you can get the gist of the story, even if you can't understand all the words. Before too long, you will find yourself tapping your feet, clapping your hands, or humming the tunes! O Sole Mio, Torna a Surriento & Funiculi Funicula are 3 well known tunes that most will recognise, with the first 2 used by Elvis Presley for "It's Now or Never" & "Surrender", respectively. All in all, a great night out - can't recommend enough.

We opted for the dinner and show. The dinner and atmosphere was mediocre - rather just go for the show. They could have dimmed the bright lights and used candles, which would have helped. The show was fun and exuberant, if a little amateurish, but a nice outing nonetheless.
