Quiet oasis in busy Sorrento

The architecture creates a calming little area that allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of Sorrento for a short time. There are exhibitions in the adjacent buildings.

Having visited the Cloisters 4 years ago we got married here in October and it was absolutely beautiful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone considering getting married in Sorrento the setting is stunning in the photographs.

The cloister is lovely and I have reviewed the gallery on its own listing, so here's the music box museum. A lovely lady was overseeing the room on our visit. As we ventured in she turned on boxes until we were lured right to the end, it was magical. She also appreciates the need to look after this exquisite creates... More

A beautiful, secluded spot but try to avoid the late morning crowds - go fist or last thing. Keep an eye out for the little museums - one for music boxes the other for photographs of Sophia Loren (amongst other things!)

Visited the cloisters out of interest after reading a book that mentioned it. It is an oasis of calm in a busy area and good for taking photos. I understand that it is a popular place for civil weddings and could understand why.

On the course between the Piazza Tasso and the place where all ferryboats and hydrofoils arrive, i.e. the Marina Piccola, settled this wondrous church or convent with adjacent beautiful cloister, named after St Francis of Assisi. The Chiostro di San Francesco is located in the Piazza Francesco Saverio, near the Via San Francesco. So far we've seen a lot of... More

Beautiful cathedral and a must see attraction in Sorrento. Inside the paintings are amazing. Men should not wear shorts and women should cover their shoulders

A nice relaxed cloister and attractive typical Catholic Church. Nowhere really to sit which is a shame. There was an excellent black & white photography exhibition upstairs which included an area where you could take fabulous photos of the landscape which was worth the exhibition entry fee. There was also a free music box exhibition. There are several other schools... More
