As you walk into the courtyard the Cathedral is on the right and the church school is on the side. It looks very plain and small at first so we took a seat in the courtyard and just watched for a while. We decided to...More

The Cathedral is relatively plain outside, but once you enter it is a completely different kettle of fish. It very highly decorated inside with a decorated roof with large inset paintings. There are lots of side chapels with statues and lots of candelabra. The cathedral...More

Another amazing church in Naples. San Filipo is huge. It has some wonderful architecture and sculptures inside. If you are in the center of Naples you should pay a visit and spend a few minutes inside.

From the outside you could just walk past without even noticing this church. We went in to cool off and were amazed what a beautiful interior. It actually made us gasp. There was a slight downside as part of the left side was under wraps...More

Along the noisy, busy street, quiet respite, beautiful art. We stumbled into this gorgeous church by accident while wandering around on the tourist shop shuffle. A few minutes of peace and quiet contemplation gave us respite to continue our stroll in and around this touristy...More

This was a beautiful church. The inlay wood is everywhere and the marble us beautiful. We were lucky enough to have a small concert with a violin and the organ. The sound was outstanding.

The exterior of the building belies the very ornate interior. The artwork whether it is the Diorama of the Nativity or whether it be the marquetry depicting the stations of the cross, it is well worth a bit of time just to have a walk...More

Plain, relatively modern exterior hides an ornate interior. The marble and marquetry are almost overwhelming. The lovely Nativity has a wealth of detail, the more you look the more you see. Well worth a visit. Outside there is a charming statue of the late Pope...More

Many beautiful things to see (for religious people and others) inside this church, which seems unremarkable from the outside. Unfortunately doesn't allow any photography, with flash or otherwise, which is a great shame
