About
A cooking school located in the center of Sorrento was missing and now the guests of the city have the chance to reach us easily, just walking a few minutes from their accomodation. Also the idea to recreate the environment of a typical neapolitan cuisine in the center of the-city of Sorrento is an absolute premiere, since there are no similar initiatives in other parts of our Country. The idea is to create from the very first visual impact a cordial and family environment in which the guest can feel immediately at ease. The purpose of our school of cooking is certainly to teach to the foreign guests to prepare dishes of the traditional Neapolitan cooking exploding the myth that cooking is an activity for the chosen few. However, we also show the referential aspect and fun inherent in cooking, starting from the assumption that eating is not just a biological necessity and that food is also a way to get to know the culture, the way of life and traditions of our Country.

Myself and my husband did the cookery school with Tony and Joseph when we visited Sorrento for our wedding anniversary.
It was a brilliant experience, light hearted fun and very informative - Tony really knows his stuff.
The place itself it lovely and you get to enjoy the food you make in the gorgeous setting, and of course enjoy wine and Prosecco throughout.
We learnt lots during the experience and look forward to trying to make fresh pasta at home.
Would definitely recommend for food lovers!

We found Chef Tony through word of mouth and are so happy we took a cooking class with him! This was one of the highlights from our Amalfi coast holiday. The food and wine were great, but the best part is that we can replicate the recipes at home for friends and family. Chef Tony was a fantastic instructor - we felt it was a perfect hands on experience complete with assistance and tips. Highly, highly recommend!

We loved our cooking class with Chef Antonio and highly recommend it. He had been recommended by a friend and we were lucky to go there. It is truly amazing experience where you do the work and learn new recipes and traditional dishes.
The class was supposed to last 3 hours and we spent 5 hours with the group and the cheff Antonio and his girlfriend, it was lots of fun an hilarious time; chatting and laughing and eating and drinking wine. The food was delicious, fresh, healthy and incredibly tasty. This was definitely a perfect place to learn cooking while feeling home and I would absolutely do it again and recommend it to anyone!
The place we cooked in is stunning with designed by the chef with excellent cooking equipment. it makes you feel at home and the dining setting is unbeatable in the heart of sorrento. We would definitely recommend quanto basta to people of all cooking skill levels and would love to go back to learn more.
Im grateful for the unforgettable time in quanto basta and for meeting a new friend a great person chef Antonio.

We were recommended to try Chef Antonino's cooking class by our tour guide Nino. It turned out to be one of a kind day that we will always remember. Chef Antonino was so welcoming, relaxed and happy to answer any questions. The dishes we prepared were gnocchi a la Sorrentina and his unique tiramisu that we loved and will definitely be making again. The food was matched with local wines and the homemade Limoncello was fantastic. All together a thoroughly enjoyable and genuine experience that I can only highly recommend.

Tony and Joseph greeted us at the door with smiles and a welcoming manner.
First we helped make Tiramisu so it could be refrigerated.
We then observed Tony sear the chicken thighs and vegetables to start the ingredients for our dinner. Next we got to make scialatielli pasta from scratch. Once everything was done, we dined on our wonderful creations.
Everything was great. However, I wish there was more hands on experiences during the preparation. But that did not distract from the evening's events.

My wife and I went to Tony’s class during our honeymoon and it was such a great class! Homemade pasta, chicken cacciatore and tiramisu’. We spent time with other couples cooking and learning the recipes. Tony is a really good guy and great teacher.

The whole family (2 adults, 2kids) had a great time at Quanto Basta in Sorrento. The location is a bit difficult to find, so I would suggest looking for it beforehand. Once you arrive, however, you are in for an evening of warm Italian hospitality, flowing wine, and delicious food. Chef Tony was personable, informative and engaging. Everyone took turns preparing portions of the meal under his guidance. Although the dishes were fairly simple, I honestly have to say it was one of the best meals of our trip. Sometimes simplicity really is best. I like to cook, and do so often, and even still learned a few things from Chef Tony as he explained the differences in traditional Italian cooking to other recipes.

This is a fun activity for family and friends or even the lone traveler. Would absolutely recommend!
