Fabulous tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Our guide, Giancola, met us at the Circumvesuviana Pompeii stop and sped us through the queue. She was so great at making the city come to life for our family. We spent about 2 hours in Pompeii, then we ate lunch, and met her again in Herculaneum. We were so glad that we toured both sites, since they represent such different perspectives from the 79 AD eruption. Grazie Mille, Giancola!

My wife and I had an amazing long week end in Naples thanks to this company.
The guides we had are the best in Italy: knowledgable, friendly, smart. We felt we had the great privilege of exploring Naples with real expert guides. Museums, churches, local life and the best food were all part of this unique experince.

We had a wonderful food tour with a guide who not only knows Naples intimately (she lives there) but who also is an art historian. She guided us in history, local food practices, famous and infamous graffiti and even how to cross the street safely. She told fun stories, introduced us to many chefs and small business owners and went above and beyond in many ways to make it a memorable day in Napoli.

Can I give more stars?? If you go to Naples your guide must be Fiorella. All you have to do is read her biography to understand why. We were lucky to have Fiorella as our guide to the Archaeological Museum of Naples in preparation for a tour the next day of Herculeum and Pompei. My only regret is that we did not have the time to tour Naples through Fiorella. I was sad to say goodbye to her after our last tour. I felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend.

Ciao Fiorella,
I just wanted to reach out to you and thank you for the incredible day we had in Napoli . We thoroughly enjoyed the adventures and unique interesting historical places we visited. Your knowledge of Napoli and its history were exemplary. Meeting some of your friends and local contacts along the way made the trip to Napoli so memorable and enjoyable. We as a group really felt the local vibe and history of this city on our tour for which we are very grateful !!!! The crème de la crème was that I actually was able to make a Margarita pizza in the city and birthplace of the original pizza. How cool is that ? Thanks again for making our memorable visit to Napoli one that will last a lifetime.
Grazie mille, Nicholas, Thanuja, Gina and Dave :)

I did a tour of Elena Ferrante's Naples with Fiorella, and this is a must for anyone who loves the books (or the HBO series). Fiorella is extremely knowledgeable and charismatic, and Naples history is sprinkled into the tour as well lots of useful tips for visiting Naples. The driver was charming and knowledgeable as well. I would recommend Fiorella (who also does art and food tours) to anyone, and will use them again when I return to Naples. (Oh, and there are also some delicious snacks!)

our wedding anniversary, Quick trip to Italy,Pompeii. Could leave without climbing vesuvius. Long walk up (wouldn't of wanted to do it in height of summer.)
Beautiful views and the top vesuvius was out of this world. Especially being able to see the sulphur coming out in places.

I had the privilege of visiting Naples for the second time this year. I booked a Caravaggio and Capodimonte tour with Vesuvius vs Pompeii and Fiorella.
Fiorella's energy and enthusiasm are truly contagious. She spent an entire day with me visiting the Historic Center. Although Pio Monte della Misericordia was closed to the public on that day, she made up for it by showing me other fascinating baroque sites that I wouldnt have visited otherwise. Three of my favorite places include: 1) Cappella Sansevero (instead of diving straight into the Cristo Velato statue, Fiorella gave me an excellent overview of Raimondo di Sangro, his talents, passion, the documentation of Sansevero, the story and symbolism behind the beautiful frescoed ceiling and the surrounding statues); 2) San Lorenzo Maggiore - it is stunning! there are remnants of mosaics from a paleochristian church, medieval elements, and of course stunning baroque decorations all on top of some fascinating Roman ruins; 3) Duomo di Napoli - It juxtaposes beautiful protorenaissance frescoes with lavish baroque decor. The visit to Capodimonte was also impressive. On the way there, I stopped by la Sanita to see Palazzo dello Spagnuolo and Palazzo San Felice. We also enjoyed a lovely fiocco di neve at Poppella. As for Capodimonte, the grounds are nothing short of stunning. Make sure you take in the panoramic views. Caravaggio's Flagellation of the Christ alone is worth the trip! I found it tremendously helpful to have Fiorella as a guide because it is humanly impossible to navigate the museum on your own. She honed in on the key masterpieces, the royal apartments, and the history. I cannot find the words to convey my appreciation for Vesuvius vs Pompeii and Fiorella. Thanks to them, I have fallen in love with Naples and I look forward to my next visit.

It was seriously hot the day we did this tour but the experience was amazing. Pompeii has been a bucket list item for me for a very long time. It was incredible to see the ruins and to then climb Vesuvius afterwards. Standing at the top and looking down was awe inspiring. The views are stunning and just so mind blowing to think about the destruction that will ensue when Vesuvius next erupts. Very humbling standing on an active volcano and smelling the sulfur and seeing steam coming out of vents in some places. Just wow!!!!

Hi, how can we book this tour?

You could book online via several websites in Naples but to be honest, it’s easier and cheaper to pop into one of many little shops around Naples city centre and book and pay while you’re there. You can even arrange to be picked up from your hotel.

My husband and I would like a private half day tour on afternoon of October 14. We want to go to Pompeii and maybe Vesuvius or Sorrento. My husband has mobility issues and walks very slowly with a cane. We would need to use the accessible entrance to Pompeii. Are you able to do your tour from their? What is the cost for the two of us?

Hey, I'm hoping to visit Naples in October. I would like to visit Mount Vesuvius but from looking at photos am a big sceptic.
I have a massive fear of heights and some of the pathways look a bit slim.
Could anyone advise please as to if I am being over cautious or right to be fearful?
Thank you to any help given

How much and what time does the half day Pompeii trip leave from Naples? I can't find any scheduling or prices on here or the website and we're interested in tomorrow.
Hello everyone.
I am after tour recommendations for Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mt Vesuvius. Can two be done together in the same day? Which two are closest together? Is it better to pre book or buy tickets when you get there? What is the best way to get there?
Thanks
Sarah

We did Pompeii and Vesuvius on the same day no problem. We booked and paid for tickets at a tourist centre in Naples in advance.
This was great as we had a private air conditioned bus that picked us up near our apartment in the morning.
We had a fast track entry into Pompeii and had a fantastic tour guide for a two hour visit.
Our day trip included a nice lunch and we went in a different bus to Vesuvius. Be prepared for a tough climb to the top but it’s really worth it.
I don’t know about Herculaneum as we didn’t go there. I’m 64 and my wife is 60 so if we can do it! 👍😎
