I visited the piazza during the day and found it a reasonable quite and pleasant place, for Naples standards. When I came back in the evening it had changed into a meeting place for all the students of Naples, along with their carry outs. The bars were not so full but the rest of the square was covered in students... More

Have been here, seen the place and then we left. We did not find it a special charming place but just a place with a few restaurants and cafes.

We chose Piazza Bellini for a mid-afternoon meal because of its proximity to the Archeological Museum and positive comments in our Lonely Planet guide. We were happy with our choice of restaurant (the Intra Moenia) and the others looked good, too; the Saturday afternoon Neapolitan atmosphere was busy and friendly. The remains of the ancient Graeco-Roman walls in a corner... More

When first arriving in Napoli, I got a little bit overloaded by the city. Maybe, in the back of my mind I, was a little bit 'on edge' because of the stories involving the cammora. So we decided to just relax a bit on one of the many piazza's Napoli has to offer. Luckely for us it happend to be... More

This is the place to be at night. Lots of people, tourists and locals. Beautiful location and you get to see the ruins from the old town right in the middle of the square.

Fabulous vibe at night with crowds in the park hanging out talking, drinking, smoking. The bars are full even at 3am in a Tuesday night. Did I mention the ancient ruins you can see!? Locals talk to you Great drinks Fun experience

My wife had experienced Naples before and did not enjoy the experience. However, on my last trip I found the old town and she was interested. It opened a new chapter for her about this bustling sea town which has a rocky image for a number of reasons. However, we popped into the bistro for a refreshment and plumped for... More
