Entrance is 12 euros . With Artecard 4 euros. 3.50 for the awful audio guide and one page index (see later). First the positives. The grounds are magnificent but linger after you exit or you'll sit there all afternoon. The 'Galleria delle Cosi Rare' now...More

When I visited in March 2018, I was delighted that the Caravaggio Flagellation was back from Milan, but sorry to miss out on a couple of gorgeous Titians that I had hoped to see. I don't know what the gallery's policy is on loaning out...More

So Capodimonte is a must, even if it’s only for the bus ride up the hill, I joke. Its well worth a visit, it’s a grand palace with beautiful views over Naples and the bay. The gardens are lovely, a perfect place to escape the...More

The gardens looked beautiful but as it was pouring with rain we didn't go out there. The audio guide did not fit with the paintings and not all were marked. Some paintings seemed to be in different rooms than on the plan. It was all...More

We both enjoyed the visit to the Museo Nazionale di Capodimonte. We took the bus from Piazza Dante (R4, C63, C168 or C178) and walked through the lovely gardens; great views of the city. The paintings were incredible, especially Caravaggio's 'Flagellation of the Christ' and...More

We went to Capodimonte on a rainy day but, despite the rain, the place was definitively worth a visit, thanks to the masterpieces it contains. If the weather is fine, you can have a pleasant walk in the park, quite big and well mantained. To...More

This art gallery is quite large, with three floors to explore. The Farnese collection is huge and breathtaking. Caravaggio's 'Flagellation of the Christ' in particular is definitely worth seeing. There are other important works by Bruegel and Vasari on display. The collection is dominated by...More
