The Virgiliano Park is located at the tip of Posillipo hill. You can either walk (90mins approx from Mergellina train ststion) and enjoy Posillipo street or grab a 140 bus. From the Virgiliano you can enjoy one of the best views of the world: Napoli and Pozzuoli bays, especially at sunset.

A great place for a run, all the locals walk their dogs here, even say a personal trainer working with two of his clients, nice change from the gym. Walk right to the edge and take in those views!

I don't like very much this park because there are few trees, there isn't shadow and it's difficult to make a picnic because of the little grass.

This park is a little neglected and not really very big. The best thing about it is the view of the bay of naples.

One of the first beauties of Naples I saw after moving into the city. takes a while to get there with a bus, climbing uphill the twisty road among the villas of Posilippo. The park is a wonderful relief from the noise and the heat of the city, with it's splendid views for the Golf of Naples and all the... More

Although the building was closed when we were there for a January weekend, it's worth a visit to the square to see this magnificent building located near the waterfront - Bay of Naples.

I've been to Parco Virgiliano many times, with different people, and I recommend it as a suitable place if you are looking for a quiet, natural area to walk, finding great views of the panorama, let your children play. It's worth it.

Enjoy the passegiata in the afternoons or evenings (preferable in the summer!) with all the other Neapoloitani! Truly an international experience if you can fit it in!!
