The walk underground is done with a tour guide. Tours are provided in English and Italian at intervals throughout the day. One of the first things we were told is there is 200 squared km of city under Naples and in this tour that lasts just under an hour and a half, you will see 1 square km of it.... More

We stumbled across the underworld of Naples and were so grateful we had. our entertaining guide showed us around the wonderful underworld channels dug by the Grecians and Romans, exploited by the people of Naples. It gave a great insight into ancient times, and the channels weren't too claustrophobic - something that worried me originally. We were also showed how... More

One the most fortuitous things we did in Naples was to take a tour of underground Naples. Salvatore was our guide, and he was absolutley over-the-top terrific. The tour lasts 75 minutes, and you move through some tight spaces. It was extremely enriching to learn why the caverns and passageways were constructed and then adapted for use during WWII.

We had great fun with Alex our tour guide. It was informative, fun and interesting. You get to see the water canals and the areas the residents used as bunkers during the war. Well worth the money.

I'd been to Naples before but somehow missed this one. The tours are all guided and the guides are very knowledgeable in the amazing history of this totally different place. A true incite into human endevour in by gone days

Unlike Galleria Borbonica this is open everyday of the week (not just weekends) so we came here instead (being a Thursday). We were really impressed with what we got for our 10 Euro entry fee. The price included an underground guided tour, a visit to a house to see the remains of the Roman amphitheater in its basement plus a... More

Guided Walk through the 2000 year old hand made tunnels of mines, aqueducts etc. Very interesting. The candle lit part is very captivating (bit tight in places it can be skipped if you wish. But worth persevering. ) then up above ground before being taken into some hidden gems inside buildings with unexpected basements. They run tours in language groups.... More

Ancient roman aquaducts and them a refuge for hundreds of people during World War II. All visits are guided and at the end of the day i think that there are fewer people. There are many steps and some very tight sites, but I'm a bit claustrophobic and it was ok for me.

We came across this by chance and when told you can only go with a tour guide I was sceptical but we bought tickets and returned 30 mins later . Our group was less than 30 so very good size. The tour is so interesting and good value for 10 euros but like others have said plenty of steps 130... More
