Excavated in 1909 it is a very popular part of Pompei. It's hallmark is a series of frescos, thought to depict the occult.

Far any away the best and most amazing wall paintings and mosaic floors. It is a bit of a walk to get to this as it is on the far edge of the site but it is so worth it!

Plenty of reviewers have written about Pompeii and the Villa so my thoughts on how to see it. I now thing a good guide book and a bit of homework is better than a guide as you can wonder round at your own pace and...More

One of the most preserved Villas in Pompei not to be missed, it is very interesting and although it is outside the city walls it is inside the Pompei ruins.

This villa is at the far end of the Pompeii site, furthest from amphitheatre but far more interesting in terms of atmosphere and artwork. Worth the extra leg work

This building is a little bit off the beaten path but the building and paintings are a gem, and because of the relative remorseless of the site, less visitors tour it.

An amazing collection of well-preserved frescos and an unusual knook to spark your imagination of a world in another era and world vision. Of special appreciation to artists, anthropologists and art historians. Fascinating, beautiful, well worth visiting.

This is an amazing villa with wonderfully colourful frescoes, it is incredible to think they are over two thousand years old. Unfortunately, not all the villa was open to the public when we visited and it was at the end of a very long day...More

Cruise ships generally have excursions to Pompei. Be prepared for a hot few hours with lots of other Visitors. I would not recommend going on your own there. If the cruise offers a trip to Paestum take that in preference to... More

It is part of the Pompeian Ruins. At the northwest entrance kind of by itself. It was a pretty nice house of one of the more wealthy residents. There are some great frescoes and there is continuing restoration at this site... More
