A wine experience like no other! Wine is an important part of Italian culture. At VinoRoma wine tastings/seminars we give you the key to understanding Italian wines and your taste so you can continue exploring on your own, too. Not intimidating, stuffy or confusing - a lot of fun and very insightful! Nice side effect: you will learn a lot about food, too!Drink wine. Not too much. Mostly Italian.

Last week I finally had the chance to go to Vino Roma. I love wine but I’m not really an expert, so I was worried about the tasting as I thought I wouldn’t have had the skills to appreciate wines in the right way. I was completely wrong! First of all their wine selection is excellent. I saw and tasted... More

Hande was our host for an informative and delicious evening of tasting diverse Italian wine & cheeses. We tried about 3 meats, amazing tomatoes, olives, and bread, too. Her emphasis for our small group of 4 wine amateurs was to learn what we like, why we like it, and how to pair it with cheeses that will make both flavors... More

I was with a group of friends (new to wine drinking) and we had an amazing learning experience. It is absolutely worth the money and is an excellent event to do while in Rome. The knowledge will be valuable going forward to help pair your meal with wine. We had about half a glass of 6 different wines, 3 red... More

This is my second visit to Vino Roma, after having been here a few years ago based on a friend’s suggestion. I wish I decided to return sooner! I really learned so much once again and it was just as fun as last time too, ended up meeting some nice people during our two hours together. I promise I will... More

We got this as a gift from friends when we moved to Rome in September. We are big winelovers and wine has definitely been a great aspect of our life in Italy (others not so much, lol). But as we got more and more interested, we saw we do not know enough, certain things were just weird (at home we... More

As German we have been to Italy many times. We love wine. We know wine. The tasting at Vinoroma showed us we know very Little about it actually. We tasted wines we had never heard of. We didn't love all of them but we learned even from those. And the teacher was amazing, very passionate and had a great way... More

Visiting Vino Roma was one of the highlights of my 16 days in Italy. Our class was a mixture of novices, moderately educated and very interested winos, and even a gentleman who had recently passed his sommelier test. Hande was able to provide each one of us with a great time, loads of information about Italian wines, and just an... More

Sommelier Hande Leimer was a wonderful host and led about 10 of on a journey through Italy via wine. I learned more about wine, tasting and production than I ever imagined possible. And now have a greater understanding into why I like the wines I like! I highly recommend a wine tasting here on your visit to Rome!

I used this experience to put a nice little bow on a trip I planned with my mother. Hande was fantastic and her pre-experience communication via email was appreciated and informative. The tasting was great. Hande makes it clear at the very beginning of the evening that you're not going to like every wine that she puts in front of... More

I was talking to a work colleague (avid wine drinker such as myself), and we've decided to make a reservation to Vino Roma. I figured it would take my boyfriend along as well. He didn't have much going on anyway. We arrived at a big red door reading Vino Roma--not as hard to find as the website suggests. Sitting inside... More
