David and Flavio were lovely people and exceptional chefs.

They toured us around their local market and patiently taught us about the different types of produce/vendors. They even stopped to get us a traditional snack called a suppli, which was delicious.

On top of it all, they took us to their lovely home and taught us how to make fig ravioli, tagliatelle, traditional Roman veggies, and tiramisu. Not only was the food delicious, but the experience as a whole was so much fun. The fig ravioli was one of our favorite dishes we ate during our trip (and we even ate at some Michelin star restaurants, which did not even compare).

This cooking class was the highlight of our week-long trip in Rome and we will definitely come back to cook with them again if we get the chance.

Grazie mille! What a wonderful review! It's a pleasure to hear that your market tour and cooking class with David and Flavio was so unforgettable. The pleasure of conviviality goes far beyond good food. Our guests are invited not only to enjoy the finest Italian food each region has to offer but to share a genuine connection with our local hosts from all over Italy. We are glad you had such an amazing time in Rome and we hope to hear from you again. Warm regards, Elif and the Cesarine Team

Sveva was a great hostess and very good at teaching me and my husband how traditional tiramisu, bruschetta and pasta is made. I recommend her to anyone visiting the Rome area. We had a wonderful time making and eating the wonderful food.

We have chosen a private cookery class at the home of the Le Cesarine. Our Chef was Sveva, very friendly, great cook & fantastic with kids. We have made together Tiramisu, Bruschetta & Ravioli with tomato sauce & Fettuccine Cacio e Pepe. One of our best cookery class ever! Thank you, Iva

I had an excellent and most enjoyable cooking experience with a gentleman named Cosimo and his wife Rosa. Cosimo spoke good English and did most of the teaching but Rosa assisted an was very helpful with some language translation which I needed. I took the class by myself. The class was very hands-on and Cosimo's instructions were very clear. We made several very good dishes which we enjoyed together in their dining room afterwords. It was exactly the kind of class I wanted.

What a phenomenal experience!!! We drove to Barbara’s home outside Siena. That was a treat in itself (a home VS restaurant). We were 2 couples and all of us made the food with Barbara’s help / pici pasta, pappa con pomodori and tirimusu. She was a delight - and would love to do this again on our next visit.

We cooked fettuccine with a carciofi and mint sauce, pastelli (fired vegetables, light and very crispy), and a ricotta dessert with lightly stewed apples on top, with a glass of wine. I've already made pasta since, which I had never done before. We went to the teacher's apartment. She was an interesting person and had recently begun doing this because she likes speaking with foreigners about food and politics. Luckily we all agreed on those issues. I would do this again and I recommend it

My husband and I went to Giulia's home in Rome for lunch. It was really great to see an Italian home chef at work. Giulia doesn't speak English so her charming niece, Patrizia, translated for us, then we all ate together. Giulia made potato fritatta, deep fried pizza, lemon chicken, pasta, and an egg dish that I can't remember the name of, capped off with three kinds of cake and homemade limoncello. There was also free-flowing wine. Everything was absolutely delicious. I think you have the choice of assisting with the meal preparation or just watching. We chose to just watch, but either way, I highly recommend this activity. Thanks to Giulia and Patrizia for a memorable day.

We had a great time with Ofelia in Rome. She welcomed us into her home and cooked and let us participate in the pasta making! Her home was beautiful and the food and wine was great. It was a highlight of our trip and we recommend highly.
We sat and talked and enjoyed our meal together :)
We felt like we were friends and not people that just met.
Thank you Ofelia <3

During our trip to Lake Como we took the pizza and tiramisu making class. Patrizia was a wonderful host and made us really feel welcome in her beautiful home. It was high up in the hills overlooking Lake Como and even with a foggy rainy, the view was beautiful.
She taught us how to make the pizza and tiramisu and then we got to eat it all. Truly a great experience and one that we'll always remember

We had an unforgettable evening with Luciana! We loved learning new spins on well known dishes (the lemon tiramisu was a game changer!) and we will incorporate the gnocchi making technique she showed us into many dinners when we return home. The incorporation of lemon into our dishes expressed so clearly her love of the flavors of her hometown and we were honored for her to share them with us. We loved trading antidotes back and forth about daily life to get a real picture of rome and the amalfi. And as an italian american, it was especially wonderful to see how so many of my family's traditions and cultural nuances are so tied to our roots in italy, despite the many generations that have passed since our emigration. Our only regret was not having enough time to book a second activity with Luciana - but we will be back again on a future trip to explore mercato testaccio with her!
