I didn't know about this gem. In all my requests to friends for ideas, no one suggested we should visit Il Vittoriano but I would say it's a must. The tomb, the monument and the views from the very top are spectacular. The glass elevator...More

Almost smack in the middle of the city. We passed by it many times via taxi or by bus. Very busy center with a beautiful monument to the Fallen Soldier. It is breathless to look at with wide steps to walk up, sculptures along the...More

Timeless artwork. Great, glorious, imposing, unique. At least once in life you have to see it! Five stars.

Absolutely beautiful building and very ornate. Certainly had significance during WWII as this is where Mussolini announced that Italy had joined the war. Now better remembered as a memorial to fallen soldiers.

The structure was highly impressive with two guards positioned either side of the tomb. Very friendly to the public with great monumental value.

To me this is one of the most underrated attractions in Roma! It is absolutely beautiful and very accessible. It is located approximately 750 meters northeast of the Coliseum (as the crow flies). Strangely enough it is not well liked by the Romans and the...More

Not every Sunday you can take a walk like this . First we strolled by the Forum and it's continuing excavation area...then when we reach the tomb we look back and see the Coloseum in the distance along with a beautiful domed church on the...More
