Top ways to experience Piazza Trilussa
The area
Neighbourhood: Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.

How many times have we crossed it!
Piazza Trilussa, located between the Lungotevere della Farnesina and the Lungotevere Raffaello Sanzio, right in front of the Ponte Sisto, is dedicated to the great Roman poet Trilussa.
In a corner of the piazza is a little, lovely memorial with a plaque and inscription with one of his poems.
The square, formerly called "piazza di ponte Sisto", houses the beautiful fountain commissioned by pope Paolus V of the Borghese family to the architects Van Santen (known as "the Vasanzio") and Giovanni Fontana: it is the second fountain of the Acqua Paola (after the Paola Fountain ), or of the ancient Trajan aqueduct, following the extension of its canalization to supply water, in addition to the districts of Trastevere and Borgo, also those of Regola and Ponte.
Apart from that, it has to be said that
on the steps of the large fountain usually young Romans and tourists sit down to enjoy the warm spring days that Rome is famous for.
Lovely corner of the Trastevere district.

We went across the Ponte Sisto bridge on a Friday night aiming for a stroll and dinner in Trastevere. We had heard this area was very buzzy, particularly on a Friday night at the end of the working week, and it certainly was, starting with Piazza Trilussa. Lots of predominantly young people sitting around chatting and listening to some excellent music. We heard two rock bands and a West African musician all of whom were excellent so definitely worth considering going across this side of the river if you're in town on a Friday.

The nightlife in Trastevere is famous already for its pub and bar but let me say piazza trilussa is amazing to listen a lot of ground music group from the 8 P.M. to 10 P.M. with a lot of young people around this square. I suggest you to listen music and after go to eat and drink in this area an amazing experience for a wonderful city 🔝👍😊

Saw and heard music one night, and came back couple of nights to check it out again.
Live music, so sad I do not know how to upload a video here, but definitely something worth visiting. A lot of generations you can see here, enjoying good music. And you can also bring your drinks ..

It is a park at the western end of Ponte Sisto. It is a hang-out place for people of all ages. We drove past in a Taxi at 6:45 on a Sunday morning and people were still standing around drinking beer.

We passed several times and enjoyed the live music.

This is a small square with a vibrant nightlife. Stopped here during an evening stroll and found it packed with revellers. A good place to people watch and enjoy an evening.

Small square which was packed full of people on a Saturday evening. A good place to start exploration of Trastevere’s many bars and restaurants.

This is a fab place to hang out at night especially sitting on the steps of the church and listening to the many buskers who have 30-60 mins sets. Loads of people wondering around, great people watching!
